The End of an Era for Daniel Ricciardo, But Was It Handled Right? As many of us in the motorsport world know, Daniel Ricciardo has been dropped from the VCARB team, with Liam Lawson stepping in for the remaining six races of the 2024 F1 season. While Ricciardo’s career has been filled with highs and lows, it’s hard not to feel that the decision to replace him mid-season was abrupt. Given Ricciardo’s legacy, with 8 wins, 32 podiums, and an infectious personality, it feels like he deserved the chance to finish the season. It might have been a more graceful exit for a driver who has brought so much passion and excitement to Formula 1. That said, Liam Lawson’s talent is undeniable, and his future looks promising. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs in these final races and whether this marks the start of a new era for Red Bull’s development program. What are your thoughts on how this transition was handled? Do you think Ricciardo should have been allowed to finish the season? #F1 #Motorsport #Formula1 #DanielRicciardo #LiamLawson #MotorsportLeadership #RedBull #Racing #MotorsportSafety #MotorsportNews

Sorry for the delay in posting this: The Austrian Grand Prix 2024 was a rollercoaster ride for many drivers. Especially Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. Their fight for P1 cost them a bounty as they limped back to the pits with severe damage and tire punctures. One finished P5, and the other couldn't finish the race. However, this opened the door to the podium for Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team driver, George Russell, McLaren Racing driver Oscar Piastri, and Scuderia Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz. But this race had some other highlights too. Like MoneyGram Haas F1 Team drivers finishing in points after a LONG time. They are beginning to show a good pace now. Daniel Ricciardo also finished in the top 10 after the Miami GP Sprint. But do you know that this race has the highest number of penalties given to drivers compared to other races? To know more about that and how the Alpines are struggling to keep the team together, read my report on the Austrian Grand Prix! The article link is attached in the comments. Just to jog your memory about the Austrian GP weekend, the link to the Sprint Quali and Sprint are attached in the comments #austriangp #redbull #mclaren #ferrari #alpines #haas #formula1

Bono, le mie gomme sono sparite. It's the Italian translation for "Bono, my tyres are gone". Similarly, there are rumors that Bono has also gone with Lewis to Ferrari. #Curiosity101 ↖ Can Lewis Hamilton win a drivers championship with Scuderia Ferrari? Let's look at the stats of various drivers during their tenure with Ferrari: Till date - 44 different drivers have raced for Ferrari. - 20% of them - 9 different drivers won Drivers' championship. ( Alberto Ascari, Juan Manuel Fangio, Mike Hawthorn, Phil Hill, John Surtees, Niki Lauda, Jody Scheckter, Michael Schumacher, Kimi Räikkönen ) - 2 drivers managed to win 2 drivers' championship: Alberto Ascari, Niki Lauda. - Only 1 driver was able to win 5 championships - Michael Schumacher. ⚡ But till now, no one has ever been able to break the superstitious pattern of 7 Drivers' Championships. - Will Hamilton win his 8th World title with Ferrari and be in that 20%? Only time will tell. (Comment your thoughts as well) Do follow #Curiosity101 to hear such curious aspects. #Formula1 #F1 #LewisHamilton #Ferrari #Curiosity101 #Championship

🏁 3 Things We Learnt After the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix: 1. Ollie Bearman's DebutL At the risk of stating the blatantly obvious, Ollie Bearman is a rising star. He took to the Ferrari seat with such composure and maturity that it was hard to believe he was 18 and in his first F1 race. He qualified in P11 and then finished the race in P7. I can't wait to see where his future leads him. 2. Mercedes with New Problems?: Mercedes have 'fundamental' problems with their car. Or at least that's what Toto Wolff has said. The first two races of the season have not gone exactly to plan for the team and Saudi Arabia highlighted their issues in high-speed corners. Wolff said that this went beyond a setup issue so we'll have to wait and see if that's something that they can figure out and fix as the season goes on. 3. Alpine's Troubles Continue: Alpine is continuing a run of bad form and there doesn't seem to be a clear path to it getting any better. A first-lap retirement for Pierre Gasly after gearbox issues and Esteban Ocon finishing in P13 has left the team in last place in the Constructors' Championship. Add onto the fact that neither driver could get out of Q1 and there is once again some restructuring going on within the team after some resignations... all does not seem well. What were some of your key takeaways from the race? Share them in the comments! 🏎️💭 #saudiarabiangp #formula1 #raceanalysis #motorsport

Defying Odds: Celebrating Vettel's Iconic Monza Win and AlphaTauri's Journey As the Formula 1 circus gears up for another thrilling season, I was recently reminded of a conversation with a friend who believed that a pole-to-win race was predictable and, frankly, dull. This took me back to the 2008 Italian Grand Prix at Monza – a race that defied all predictions and left an indelible mark in F1 history. Picture this: a young Sebastian Vettel, barely 21, in the cockpit of a Toro Rosso. Not the most dominant car on the grid, yet Vettel masterfully clinched pole in a rain-soaked qualifying. But the real magic unfolded on race day. Amidst the giants of the sport, Vettel, with poise and precision, turned his pole into a victory – becoming the youngest driver ever to win a Formula 1 Grand Prix. This victory was more than a statistical achievement; it was a narrative of determination, skill, and the audacity to dream. It shattered the myth that only the giants could succeed in F1 and proved that every race, every lap holds the potential for the extraordinary. But let’s also talk about the legacy of the team. Known today as AlphaTauri, and swirling in rumors of yet another name change, this team is much more than just a "second Red Bull." It has a history of nurturing talent, of achieving the improbable, and of maintaining a unique identity in the world of F1. As we approach the new season, I'd like to take a moment to congratulate Laurent Mekies on stepping into the role of team principal. Your journey ahead may be challenging, but it's also filled with immense potential. To the entire AlphaTauri team, as you gear up for the races ahead, remember that you're not just competing; you're inspiring. You're a testament to the fact that in Formula 1, every team has a story, every driver a dream, and every race has the potential to be legendary. Here's to a season of unexpected victories, to the spirit of competition, and to the enduring legacy of a team that has always dared to be different. Best of luck! #Formula1 #ItalianGrandPrix #AlphaTauri #MotorsportLegacy #NewBeginnings

Little late on this one, and yes it is just an excuse to post about F1 and the excitement of Norris finally clinching his first ever podium, but McLaren Racing and Lando Norris' recent win can definitely (for LinkedIn purposes at least) demonstrate some valuable lessons for us all around perseverance and determination. It's taken Norris 110 races in Formula 1 to finally win his first race podium. Many other drivers have done this a lot more quickly, or with many multiple podiums within the same number of races, but the important thing is that neither McLaren nor Norris gave up. McLaren is the second-most successful F1 team ever (after Ferrari) and yet, with all of this prestigious history, they haven't [until now] won a race since Ricciardo found pole in 2021 at Monza and before then, all the way back to 2012 with Button and Hamilton bringing it home. With the continued belief that McLaren could once again be back on top in F1, the long-standing and deeply trusting partnership between Norris, McLaren's CEO Zac Brown and the whole of the McLaren team has proven that working together and pulling consistently in the same direction, even when times are tough, will get the end result. Let's not forget that each and every driver and each and every team on the grid represents the absolute best of the best, so the competition is high. When you want to push to the limit, achieve more, be better, it's not meant to be an easy task, but when it comes, the reward is that much sweeter! Congrats Lando, may this be the first of many wins to come! #formula1 #perseverance #progression #teamwork https://lnkd.in/eHcsB-HA

Previously considered a likely candidate to return to Red Bull Racing, Daniel Ricciardo is now facing a challenge to maintain his position with the junior 'RB' team. This shift in circumstances mightbe partly attributed to the ongoing scandal involving Christian Horner, especially since the strategy to rejuvenate Ricciardo's struggling Formula 1 career after his departure from McLaren is #DanielRicciardoUnderPressureToRetainSeatAfterPoorStartTo2024
