I Cannot emphasize this enough! Feedback as a leader is NOT optional. It’s a disservice to those you’re serving. Wanna keep good employees?.. Let them know they’re valued and they are doing a good job. Want your new employees to grow? Then help them by showing them the way and offering suggestions and support. Want to transform difficult employees?… Coach them, tell them you see more potential in them than they are exhibiting! FEEDBACK! Give it!!!

HOW and when you give feedback is key. Don't wait till the performance review....communicate your appreciation, your concern, your irritation, your needs...all of it...in the moment and with I-Messages and be ready to Shift Gears.

Feedback provided only from leaders to their team members, can sometimes be subject to restrictions, generating from the instict for a more secure approach, rather than intriguing sensitivities, shaking balances, interpersonal connections, fear of job related dependancy or just causing preservation. If this is a hard task to handle -which should definately not be, when you are trusted to be a team leader- then asking and receiving feedback from people who are also colaborating with your team members, is a must. Sounds challenging, but it could eventually be more useful, enlightening and objective than you might have ever thought of and also be realistic as well. After that, you are there to filter peoples' judging motivations, as in the end, you are expected to act as a team leader. P.S. Too many people are defined or educated to be Leaders, but very few have been born such. Feel lucky if you are working with some of the second type. 🎩

Employees want feedback. If you don't have a way to ensure that each employee is getting the same level of feedback, you are doing your employees a disservice, and likely to lose those employees who feel like they aren't getting enough feedback.

Feedback helps employees understand what is expected of them. By receiving ongoing guidance, they can align their actions with organizational goals and individual responsibilities more effectively.on the other hand no feedback makes them vulnerable to the fact that what ever they are doing either it is completely right or completely wrong. Regular communications/ Feedback are important for healthy work environment .
