Joe Pavelski has announced his retirement from the National Hockey League (NHL). From game 1 to game 964 to game 1,332 and beyond, your impact on hockey, the NHL, the San Jose Sharks and the Stars has no bounds. Thank you for everything and congratulations on an incredible career, Joe!
Pavs is a case study in finding a market niche where you can provide a skill nobody else can at the same level, and did it well past the typical prime. Special career.
Sports are implacably unsentimental. Probably deserved a Cup as much as any player in recent memory…but sports does not care. Does not diminish his accomplishments.
Class act. Warrior on the ice and a gentleman off of it. My son has a few pucks that he threw his way at various games. Always looked out for others. Great career and finished super strong.
So sad to see you go, Joe Pavelski...you will be missed. I loved seeing you play on the ice.
What a player, what a legacy. Thank you, Captain America.
Congratulations Joe thank for all that you have done for Dallas Stars hockey.
Thank you, Joe. Loved watching you with the Stars. You led by example. Good luck to you in the next phase of your career!
Great player, great legacy. He will be missed!
Happy for him, sad for us Stars fans

3moOne of the greatest US-born players ever to play the game. So sad he never got to lift the Cup, but that shoudn't hurt his chances to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
