LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK, I am trying to build a method of Giving for Donation ideas, and here is one I have come up with, where I am contacting companies that are Bee or Honey associated because our main character is a Bee. what are your thoughts? Hi, we are a nonprofit organization, in Fresno, for the prevention of abuse by educating through Play and Entertainment. We have cartoon/comic characters that are called the Bugillagers. Our main character is named RowJoeBee and his best friend is SemBelAnt. We are considering setting up a donation page based on naming the various characters that will be used in the comics and cartoons that we will be producing. Would you, as a BEE based company, consider donating to our cause, for the privilege of naming A Bee for our stories, A Queen for our stories, and/or a Hive for our stories? Or for a larger donation, create the personality for that character? Or even our other insectile characters. We are considering setting up a page on our site, that would automate such a Donate/Name feature, but we need to know if it would actually be viable as a method of getting involvement? Here is RowJoeBee https://lnkd.in/gaeQXTeW

At many organizations, including Save A Family Plan, the fiscal new year is April first. This is a great time to check with your employer to see if they offer a donation matching program. If they do, it could mean DOUBLING the impact of your charitable giving! Here is a great video submitted by longtime donors, Brad and Misty, sharing how they did it. If you're willing to share this info with friends and family, please share this post or send them the direct link (https://lnkd.in/dHzqVeQu) Here's a tip: if your company does not currently offer a gift-matching program... maybe they will if you propose one :) #DoubleYourDonation #giftmatchingprogram #peoplehelpingpeople #sustainabledevelopment #saveafamilyplan

When school fundraising is more than selling chocolates.............(thank you God) Mattea's school - Bradfield College at St Leonards is having a raffle to raise much needed funds. There are some amazing prizes (see the link below) and tickets are only $10 each or you can buy packs of 5 or 10 at a reduced cost. And the good news is.............I have donated 2 coaching sessions and a Clifton Strengths Finder all 34 as a prize. If you would like to take a bet on something that gives you more chances of winning than lotto (the first division prize your chances are 1 in 3,575,880) then invest $10 for an excellent cause and a much better opportunity to win some really good prizes including coaching sessions with me. I would love it if one of my LinkedIn contacts or my clients won this. #strengthbaseddevelopment #leadershipdevelopment #emotionalintelligence #investincommunity

🚨 Urgent: Help Us Protect Our Children! 🚨 Please watch this video of Hollie & Archie. (You can also see both of them on Good Morning Britain today at 7:20 am). A group of bereaved parents believes that social media may have played a role in their children losing their lives. However, as parents, they don't have the right to access their children's social media data for possible answers, leaving them in the dark about why their child has died. #JoolsLaw One life lost is one too many. How many more children will die before something changes? Please share. They need your help to raise funds to request that the High Court redoes Jools’ inquest and demands social media companies release data which could give these parents answers. Your support could set a precedent for other parents to access their child's data. If donating can prevent just one more child from dying, it's worth it. As the generation that created social media, we must correct it by giving parents back the power to protect their children. 🙏 One child too many. Let's make a change. 🙏 https://lnkd.in/d4fkR2B7
#Joolslaw - I want to change the laws around social media. Parents don’t have the right to see what their children are viewing – That’s wrong! It's too late for my son Jools, but I WILL make a difference for others.
I'm not the only parent who has lost a child. Please watch this video of Hollie & Archie. (You can also see both of us on Good Morning Britain today at 7:20 am). I'm part of a group of bereaved parents, and we all believe that social media may have played a role in our children losing their lives. However, as parents, we don't have the right to access their social media data for possible answers so we are left not knowing why our child has died #JoolsLaw One life lost is one too many. How many more children will die before something changes? Please share. I'm raising funds to request that the High Court to redo Jools’ inquest and demand social media companies (TikTok, Meta, Instagram, Snap Inc.) release data which could give us answers. Your help with this could set a precedent for other parents to access their child’s data. https://lnkd.in/d4fkR2B7 Credit to the amazing Grace Carter for once again giving up her time to help us share our stories with another video. #onechildtoomany

Founder and Director @The Heart of Miss Bee, Inc. Grief Coach|Author|Entrepreneur|ThoughtLeader Offers Grief Support and Education for Women Whose Mothers Have Transitioned| Grieving Unapologetically
@highlight I believe in people's goodness and that some people want to help in ways that significantly impact the lives of others. That's why I'm asking for your support of our fundraiser, Her Last Bow: https://lnkd.in/dmjUnvVx If you have ever had to bury your mother or mother figure, you know how painstakingly difficult it is to select a final outfit befitting of your loved one's final viewing. If you have not experienced this yet, you are fortunate, and one day, you will. What is more heartbreaking is that one day, someone will make that decision about you. We want to ease the financial burden for women who may not have the resources to bury their mother in the attire they wish to see their mother in one last time. If this pulls at your human heart, allow yourself a moment of compassion to donate to our fundraiser. Donations are tax-deductible. Your help can also consist of sharing this information with others. I want to acknowledge my long-time sister-friend Deborah A. Hoodfor sharing this with her generous friends and followers. Thank you so much, Deb. It made a difference. In closing, if you need additional reasons to donate, here are seven valid reasons why donating matters. Thank you for reading this. Thank you for sharing this. Thank you for donating to our fundraiser. Making a Difference: Donating to charitable causes allows individuals to directly impact the lives of those in need, whether providing grief journals and funds for burial clothing, food, and shelter for people experiencing homelessness, funding medical research, or supporting education initiatives. It's an opportunity to be part of positive change in the world. Creating Meaningful Change: Charitable donations can create meaningful and lasting change in communities worldwide. Whether they fund sustainable development projects, support environmental conservation efforts or aid disaster relief; donations contribute to building a better future for everyone. Setting an Example: By donating to charitable causes, individuals set an example for others. Their actions inspire friends, family, and colleagues to contribute to causes they care about, amplifying the impact of their generosity. Building Stronger Communities: Charitable donations strengthen communities by supporting local organizations and initiatives that address community needs. By investing in their communities, individuals help create a more resilient and supportive environment for everyone. Creating a Legacy of Generosity: Charitable giving allows individuals to leave a lasting legacy of generosity and philanthropy. Whether through monetary donations, volunteering, or fundraising efforts, their contributions make a positive impact beyond their lifetime, leaving a meaningful mark on the world.

I completely agree with the importance of organizational culture in the non-profit sector. Many non-profit organizations struggle to build and grow their fundraising programs due to the lack of a philanthropic culture within the organization. To address this challenge, it is crucial to convince non-profit leaders of the significance of building a robust, sustainable, and ROI-centric culture of philanthropy. One approach could be highlighting the potential benefits of such a culture, such as increased donor engagement, enhanced reputation, and long-term financial stability. Emphasizing the positive impact it can have on achieving the organization's mission might help garner support. As fund development professionals, we have a role to prioritize 'culture building' for the sector. Collaborating with other organizations and sharing best practices can help foster a collective effort, we can work towards creating a culture that values, prioritizes, and promotes philanthropy within the non-profit sector. What are your thoughts on specific strategies or actions that could be taken to encourage non-profit leaders to prioritize culture building?
Yes, Dr. Peter Drucker ... culture does eat strategy for breakfast. But perhaps the bigger question is: if we know this is true, why can't we do more to address this in the non-profit sector? It's frustrating to see so many non-profit organizations struggle to build and grow their fundraising programs, in order to drive more money to their mission, when often the real issue isn't fundraising tactics, structure, or strategy, but rather ... the lack of an organizational culture that values, prioritizes, and promotes a philanthropic culture internally. How do we convince our non-profit leaders - staff and board - to take the steps they need to take in order to build a robust, sutainable, and ROI-centric culture of philanthropy? As fund development professionals I believe an important part of our role, in partnership with Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP Global) and other sector players, is to prioritize 'culture building' for the sector. What are your thoughts? #ElevatingMissionTogether https://lnkd.in/gjXu7PV3
