Welcome to the Work Life Balance Era👏 Who else doesn’t relate to Hustle Culture?🙌 I used to be about that “Grinding All Day” life but that often came at the expense of not filling up the buckets of my life that mattered most. As I became more seasoned and self aware I realized that putting myself first, and investing in my well being and personal growth created a better life. One where I enjoy each day because of who I create myself to be, not because of working until exhaustion. And this is where the nuance is. Living a life of personal excellence holistically, not just in one or two categories. Work Life Balance doesn’t mean a lack of ambition or having big dreams & goals. [Why you struggle to create work life balance] Your attention is in the wrong place. I’ve struggled with work life balance. I’ve also had and have an abundance of “life” in my life by most people standards. I also have many clients who have struggled with work life balance, CEOs, CxOs, founders who now enjoy amazing work life balance. School pick ups and drop offs, impromptu trips, holidays, days off just to walk and think, flying lessons, diving lessons, free diving, mid-week snowboarding. They all say the same thing as I experienced. None of them feel any less productive now that they have amazing work life balance. In fact in all cases they report being significantly MORE effective. And they all started the process the same way I did. They started by putting their attention on the experience of life they wanted. What was the dream experience of life, of being with their kids, or being with their partner, friends, themselves? Without that clear idea of INTENTION and ATTENTION work always expands and makes balance seem impossible. With those clear and explicit COMMITMENTS in place the brain has a strong drive to design more creative and effective solutions to the work part of the equation. And the brain LOVES constraints for sparking creativity. So why not design constraints that enrich your life. I’ve yet to meet anyone who did this who didn’t increase their impact in work.

Work life balance is a myth  . . . Don't come at me instantly, please hear me first... A perfect balance between work and life can't be possible, atleast for entrepreneurs, and freelancers. It is rather an partnership which much be well handled so that you are not exhausted. - Sometimes it is 30% for work and 70% for life, or - Sometimes it is 70% for work and 30% for life Balancing them equally is nearly not possible, but balancing them well enough that it doesn't affect neither your life nor your work is art. And, Not always This art can be mastered but can be learnt with experiences... PS - let me know if you think work and life can be balanced at 50/50 all the time? Lot has been under discussion about work life balance and rightly so, especially since Covid - No qualms . Work life balance has to do with physical and mental fitness, and also Managing mental and physical stress , and they are not mutually exclusive ; They go hand in hand . There can be many ways, which can help the above work life balance. My Intention , here, is to highlight one Mantra, which has worked for me - And I see no reason , why it cannot work for you.
