Saudi Arabia's ambitious Red Sea vision beckons like a siren song, promising unparalleled opportunities and uncharted waters to explore. Yet, amidst this vast expanse of potential lies a crucial juncture: the transition from mere vision to a well-defined strategy.
As the Kingdom sets its sights on transforming the Red Sea region into a hub of innovation, sustainability, and prosperity, the need for a comprehensive strategy grows more urgent. While the vision paints a vivid picture of a thriving marine ecosystem and a vibrant economic landscape, it is the strategic framework that will pave the way for tangible progress and lasting impact.
In this pivotal moment, the spotlight falls on the intersection of vision and strategy, where dreams meet pragmatism, and aspirations take shape as actionable plans. The journey from vision to strategy is not merely a leap but a deliberate, calculated progression that demands foresight, collaboration, and unwavering commitment.

Congratulations indeed Mr., President and I am of an opinion that to strengthen the partnership between South Africa and Saudi Arabia, several strategies can be pursued. First, exploring joint ventures in renewable energy and technology exchange can enhance collaboration in the energy sector. Expanding trade and investment through trade missions, investment incentives, and sector-specific partnerships will also be beneficial. Cultural and educational exchanges, such as student programs, cultural events, and training workshops, can foster mutual understanding and skills development. Investing in infrastructure, including logistics and urban development, will improve connectivity. Collaboration in healthcare projects and support for tech startups can drive innovation. Sustainability initiatives, such as joint research and green investments, align with global goals. Developing bilateral agreements and scheduling regular summits will ensure continuous engagement, while encouraging public-private partnerships can leverage both government and private sector resources for large-scale projects. These efforts collectively aim to drive mutual growth and deepen the bilateral relationship.
I was deeply honoured to receive a call from His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who conveyed his warm congratulations on my recent election as President and the success of our elections.
I thanked His Royal Highness for his gesture and outlined the confidence South Africans have in our future as the Government of National Unity embarks on programmes to address our key challenges of poverty, unemployment and inequality.
I assured the Crown Prince that working together with partners, especially in BRICS and specifically Saudi Arabia, South Africa will be able to reach higher growth.
His Royal Highness expressed his hopes for the continuation and deepening of the valued relationship between our two countries.
We reflected on our existing cooperation in energy, trade and investment and agreed on taking this partnership to new heights. This will include expanded engagement with South Africa by the Saudi Arabia Sovereign Fund.
We are proud of the depth of partnership between South Africa and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
