Rwanda’s Global Engineering Conference on Sustainable Development continues today, with deeper discussions on how engineering innovations can drive progress towards the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The Lagos Physical Planning Summit continues today, as we dive deeper into sustainable urban development for one of Africa’s greatest cities. Today, Yann Leclercq, a leading project manager in Dar’s planning and urban design department, will participate in a panel discussion to discuss the different ways Lagos can align its intra-city, inter-city, and regional development plans with global best practices while maintaining a focus on local needs and priorities. Dar is incredibly thrilled to share that the Almoosa Specialist Hospital in Khobar has been named the GCC Project of the Year at the 2024 MEP Middle East Awards – a significant recognition of the project’s exceptional sustainability standards and the excellence of its mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. The first hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the second in the GCC region to pursue and earn WELL certification, the Almoosa Specialist Hospital also holds LEED Gold certification for meeting notable milestones in sustainability and energy efficiency.
