https://lnkd.in/g4PRvtWk The wheeled SPG is increasing survivability at cost. Many Armies would like Self-propelled guns but can't afford a tracked system. That's why I believe we are seeing the sales of systems like Casear and ATMOS take off. On top of that Casear continues to prove itself in combat.

We dislike the phrase "I/we have always done it this way" - our response is always the same; that doesn't mean you have always been right! Interestingly, the British Armed Forces teach the 4 marksmanship principles and the 9 point key checklist (standard for rifle and machine guns). Everybody can recite them verbatim, and in order. But very few can explain them in laymens terms. Who is the better coach? the person who can make you write something down as they regurgitate it, or the person who can break it down to the simplest form to help you understand, but can then also see your errors and help you correct them? Pat Macnamara (I think) uses a term like "inbreeding through indoctrination" - hits the nail on the head! Do the words you use resonate with everybody you are talking to? Are you able to breakdown what you are saying to its simplest form?
“But it’s always been this way!!!!” Na dawg. It ain’t been. This is why when people say “The Fundamentals” like it means something I question it. I have been taught four, six, and eight fundamentals, two definitions of sight alignment and two firing tasks on just rifles. That doesn’t cover the five fundamentals for pistols, eight for machine guns and zero for launching shoulder fired missiles. So which fundamentals am I supposed to apply? See TC 3-22.9 for the answer.

"In my 10 level Force Necessary: Knife course, after all the saber and reverse grip basics, standing through ground. Knife vs. hand. Knife vs. stick. Knife vs. knife. Knife vs. some gun threats. There are 4 combat scenario prep modules, 1- The "Spartan Module," where the impact disarm worked, 2-"Chain of the Knife" where the impact disarm did not work and you must try to grab the weapon limb after hitting, stopping the weapon arm with your knife, 3-"Death Grip of the Knife" (formally In the Clutches Of) when the opponent also grabs your weapon bearing limb. 4-"Rattlesnake Drills" - knife ground-fighting. These four set the stage, prepare people for freestyle combat scenarios which end with the opponent surrendering, wounded or in worst cases...dead. This video dissects the classic Chain, the first link of survival is latching onto, linking onto the weapon bearing limb. The first part of this video was shot in an underground military base on the Finland, Russian border. The extra 2 "bonus" parts...the second part at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the third in Iowa. It's free and 58 minutes long. US Army NGSW Ammunition : The .277 Fury is a beast of a cartridge designed to shoot flatter and transfer more energy to its target at farther distances. The U.S. Army calls the round “next generation,” and based on .277 Fury’s capabilities, that is not an exaggeration. Compared to the current-issue service cartridges it’s slated to replace like 5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm, the .277 Fury offers greater energy, improved terminal ballistics and higher ballistic coefficient bullets that slip through the air with ease.

Webley is quite excited that I'm ditching the SMGs I've been playing with & finally getting into practicing ready up #Shooting with rifle caliber #Guns today. The left is a select-fire LMT Defense MRP with their piston system & 10.5" barrel. I'm not normally a fan of piston AR15s, but LMT's is one of the best ones out there. The difference between the piston & the traditional DI is particularly noticeable on full-auto. The piston has a softer recoil & climbs off target less. To the right is a Palmetto State Armory XM177 lower converted to an M16 with a functional XM177 moderator. Even though the "moderator" does almost nothing to meaningfully to reduce the noise; since it does reduce the noise, ATF has classified is as a suppressor. The only reason I have such a functionally garbage suppressor is the conflux of militant #Military #Firearms cloner autism & that as an FFL/SOT, I don't have to pay tax stamps for each NFA item. Full-auto rifle & carbines are fun, but they're still pretty pointless. If you're needing serious suppressive fire, a rifle on full-auto can't keep up the volume of fire like an actual belt-fed machine-gun. So aimed semi-auto suppressive fire will most likely be both more accurate & sustainable. If engaging point targets, full-auto from a rifle might put more rounds on target quicker, but not much more meaningfully than it would be to use semi-auto. All at the cost of accuracy. I've shot enough full-auto to be pretty good at delivering controlled bursts on target. But even with that, if I had a select-fire weapon in a #SelfDefense shooting, I'd still only use semi-auto.
