Great to hear Roger Black speak this morning at Reigate Manor. He spoke inspiringly about the key moments in his life that defined success. For him, the main one was winning the silver medal in the 400m sprint at the 1996 Olympics in  Atlanta. A year before someone had suggested to him that his goal should be “to run 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 perfect race”. In other words, stop worrying about the competition and just focus on what you can do to be your best. I really like this because in business, as in sport, we can easily get distracted by what our competitors are doing. When competitors reduce prices, your first reaction is often to follow suit so you don’t lose out. But this can be the start of a vicious cycle to lower profits. Much better to focus on your distinctive advantages and devise the best business offering for your customers that you can. If you work (train) hard to justify and maintain your price premium, success (in the form of higher profits) will always follow. #inspiration #runyourbestrace #pricepremium #success

PURSUIT ⛹🏻♂️🚵🏻♂️🏊🏻♂️ vs RESULTS🏆 I collided on this picture and it pushed me to actually search on these too talents. And with my findings, I gained some insights that gave another perspective to the language of SUCCESS which I deem fit to share as the paths of Gomez and Kane offer profound insights into the nature of success and personal fulfillment. It still amazes me that in the realm of football, Gomez, being a defender for Liverpool, has not yet scored a goal in his career , yet he has accumulated an impressive 7 titles with his team. On the other hand, Harry Kane, a prolific striker, has netted about 406 goals, yet he hasn't claimed a single title. These guys indeed have contrasting journeys but such that is enveloped in undeniable success story. Really, success is not solely about Personal Achievements but also about contributing to a Collective Goal. Gomez may not have scored goals, but his defensive prowess has been instrumental in his team's victories all the way. Sometimes, our role in a larger mission brings fulfillment beyond individual accolades. On the other hand, Kane’s relentless goal-scoring demonstrates unwavering DEDICATION and PASSION. Even without titles, his commitment to excellence remains unshaken. This shows that the journey itself, driven by passion & hard work, holds immense value. Meanwhile, TITLES and TROPHIES are not the only measure of success. PERSONAL GROWTH, CONSISTENCY and the POSITIVE IMPACTS we have on others are equally important.
