Disney’s Contemporary Resort named ugliest building in Florida. So…uh, talk about clickbait. Ugliest in Florida? Have they been to 192? This isn’t even the ugliest building on Disney property. (Not blog mickey mind you, they're just reporting on the ranking by Travel.alot.com) This ranking of the “ugliest building in each state” certainly had a trope to it. They didn’t necessarily pick ugly, they just mostly picked ultra-modern buildings. And I am not a fan of modern architecture by any means, but they really just picked they just picked buildings that are big statement to get your attention. And I guess it worked, because it gives us something to talk about, but not in a good way. Not at the expense of the “ugliest buildings”, but instead at the expense of the group ranking them. Again – I don’t like to defend modern architecture, but this list just ain’t it. (And picking 432 Park Avenue, New York really? That building is about as basic as can be, not striking, not ugly.) https://lnkd.in/eqRGJky6 #letsmakeplans #disneyparks #themeparks #themedentertainment
Were DeSantis supporters involved in calling this an ugly building? I only ask that because suddenly those around me who support DeSantis have suddenly decided that they hate everything that is Disney.
I can't even see how this is the ugliest building at Disney World. I would think the Guardians coaster show building which is not only ugly but trashes other great site lines in the park would easily beat the Contemporary.
Did I miss something? Did they tear down The Swan and Dolphin? Talk about ugly!!!
Worked there 30 years. It’s ugly !!!
