Managing Director of David R. Blackburn Consulting | Chartered Companion | Number Two Most Influential HR Practitioner 2024

The corporate world today is a complex, dynamic environment. More than ever, business leaders face the need to combine both strategy and science to deliver results. Nonetheless, most companies—even those with technologically advanced products and services—are still relatively new to using data-driven techniques to solve people challenges, from engagement to productivity and beyond. Which is why last week I started the next and final phase of my studies at the Cambridge Judge Business School - People Analytics: Transforming HR Strategy with Data Science.   This programme will enable me to establish or expand an organisation's people analytics capabilities by developing a strategic and analytical mindset. It integrates the latest findings from in-depth research by the The Psychometrics Centre - University of Cambridge and practical insight from industry experts. Over the next eight weeks, I will explore a range of approaches to formulating and implementing a people analytics function, learn to apply management, scientific and methodological expertise to organisational data, and generate insights from people data. All skills that I look forward to deploying in the year ahead through David R.
