The Pawsitive Change mission is to help our Student Trainers develop the skills and mindset needed to return home and lead fulfilling lives. The California penal system is often characterized by racial segregation that creates divisions that hinder personal growth and rehabilitation. The Pawsitive Change program fosters an environment where students from diverse backgrounds work together, learn from one another and grow collectively. #prisonreform #vocationaeducation #reentry #jobskills

Its never too early to start planning your career path. Pupils from Bearsted Primary Academy visited Invicta Court where they chatted with residents and colleagues about their previous and current careers. It was an interesting question and answer session for everyone involved, giving the children insight into the skills needed for each particular role. #invictacourt #fulfillinglives #trustedtocare #careuk #intergenerational https://lnkd.in/eE2MnaeE

📚 Landmark Decision Alert 📚: Diving Into the Historical Depths of "Brown v. Board of Education" This week, I had the privilege of delving into a trial case study on "Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka," a cornerstone of civil rights litigation that transformed the landscape of American education and society at large. 👩⚖️ At its heart, the unanimous decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1954 didn't just challenge the status quo; it ignited a monumental shift towards equality and justice, declaring that "separate educational facilities are inherently unequal." Reflecting on the courage of the Browns, Thurgood Marshall's unparalleled advocacy, and the Supreme Court's pivotal role, this case reaffirms the legal profession's capacity to drive societal change. As we navigate ongoing challenges in education, equality, and inclusion, let's honor the legacy of "Brown v. Board of Education" by continuing to fight for a world where every child can access equitable opportunities, irrespective of race or background. 🔗 #LegalHistory #CivilRights #EducationEquity #ThurgoodMarshall #SupremeCourt #SocialJustice #LawyersOfLinkedIn #EqualityForAll

The politicization of #schoolsafety and its accompanying noise levels may very well be why progress on school safety has stalled, not advanced. The first step to cut through the noise is for #superintendents, #schoolboards, #principals, and other #schoolleaders to recognize the depth and intensity of politics that exists around #schoolshootings and school safety. Once recognized, they must then be educated consumers of school safety information and extremely critical thinkers who are laser-focused on research and best practices, while leaving the political noise behind. Advancing policy and funding for meaningful #schoolsecurity depends upon it. More in my latest blog: https://zurl.co/SXBK
