If you want to stand out from your competition, identify a compelling patient story. Our client, Austin Neuromuscular Center , treats some of the bravest people with rare neuromuscular conditions. Many of them, like veteran, Dr. Paul Phillips, are very willing to share their stories with the hope of educating someone living with the same disease. Here's a beautiful example

At Cure HHT, we work tirelessly each and every day to end the suffering from this disease... because we know it all too well. Marianne Clancy, our executive director for 20-plus years, recently shared her story with Medtronic. Sadly, it's a story that many patients can related to -- one of misdiagnosis, years with no answers, and preventable loss. https://lnkd.in/dRN9adsw So proud of the work of the medical team at Jack’s Basket as we continue to reframe the diagnosis of Down syndrome for families and healthcare providers. Can’t believe Carissa and her team are celebrating 10 years of celebrating babies. I’ve been honored to serve on the board, emcee the gala, and bring the story across the country at grand rounds and conferences about how clinicians can minimize our own biases by reframing “I’m sorry I have bad news” as “I have some news which may be unexpected.” Statistically, families don’t come to see the diagnosis of Down syndrome as bad and not something we should be apologizing for, and most wouldn’t change the diagnosis but would change how they were told. Checkout the feature in the 10 year anniversary and new curriculum the medical team lead by Erin Plummer that has just been launched.
