"There are a couple of things I consider. I’ve always believed in finding good people, bringing them onto the team, and allowing them to excel. You give them some guardrails and guidance, but you don't hire people to tell them how to do their jobs. You hire them because you believe they can do the job, and you want to give them the ability to perform within the guidelines of what we are trying to accomplish as a company." -David Ohlrich To view the full episode, click on the link in the comments below. https://lnkd.in/e2cx-VsM

“Here’s the clue that you don’t have the right team: your day-to-day is something you don’t enjoy doing every day.” You can't hire the right team and have the right people in the right roles unless YOU have YOURSELF in the right role. The most important hire in your business is an operator. In episode 210 of the #DoorGrowShow, Sarah and I talk about the importance of finding a good operator and building the right team for you and your business.

Where they are in their career, what tradeoffs they are going to make, consequences of these decisions. (4) Keeping things in the context of business.
