💗💗🍜🍜🍲 #Cooking has long been a universal language of love, connection, and happiness. It allows people to express care and creativity, whether through a simple meal or an elaborate feast. The act of preparing food engages all the senses, offering a therapeutic outlet that many find joyful and fulfilling. Sharing this joy with others, especially neighbors, enhances the experience. A shared meal opens doors for conversation, mutual understanding, and appreciation. It transforms everyday interactions into meaningful relationships, where generosity and kindness flow naturally.
💗💗In neighborhoods, cooking for or with others helps build a sense of community. Whether it's inviting a neighbor over for dinner, organizing a potluck, or simply sharing a homemade dish, food fosters trust and camaraderie. It breaks down barriers, making people feel more connected and at home with one another. These small gestures of sharing food can create lasting friendships and strengthen social ties, ensuring that neighbors feel less like strangers and more like an extended family.

Tuesday 21st October is National Honey Day. The BBKA would like to celebrate the delicious diversity of local UK honey bought directly from local beekeepers.

I love Reddit, Inc., and feel like it's where I go to get an honest pulse on a topic. Perusing this morning, and I came across this post re: ramekins at restaurants. This feels like a debate that's been going on for a while, but I'd love to get other's opinions on where you stand. It hurts my sustainability heart to think theft and scraping dishes is the reason restaurants can't invest in nice items... but what's the solution?
In other countries, I see things like banana leaves used... but at the scale of some restaurants, it would have to be manufactured and price-comparable. Thoughts?

It's that magical time of year when everyone suddenly develops a passion for leprechauns, shamrocks, and questionable green beverages!
St. Patrick's Day is like Christmas, but instead of goodwill and cheer, we have an excuse to push all things green and jig-worthy.
✅ Got green food coloring? Check.
✅ Stocked up on cheap beer? Double check.
✅ Overpriced novelty hats? Triple check.
So, let's raise a glass (preferably filled with something that resembles a radioactive swamp) to St. Patrick's Day: the one day a year when it's socially acceptable to appropriate a culture while wearing a green tutu and singing 'Danny Boy' off-key.
