Glad I spent an hour of my time on this King's Fund webinar today - would recommend accessing it on catch up if you missed it. Despite the large number of ongoing challenges we are facing in health and care - it was refreshing to hear some ✨ positive and hopeful ✨ insights shared through the questions and panel discussion. My key take aways: 😃 Our people are still at the heart of health and care - it's important, and something we can all contribute to, to focus on recovering the health and wellbeing of staff before navigating more change. 🤝 Patient and public engagement and co-production has never been more important. Where possible within our roles, we can take steps to make this happen in a meaningful way. ✅ Despite it (probably) being an election year - there is still lots of good policy work going on that we can focus on in the present e.g., the proposed phased smoking ban. We can still advocate for quality improvement, service integration and transformation in our areas of work. 💷 Good stewardship of existing resources is important, rather than waiting and hoping that extra money will 'fix' things. 💾 Implementing new technology doesn't need to be so polarising. We can use technology to our advantage, to automate and improve the efficiencies of processes, enabling people to do the work only people can do.
