SBA is giving an extension of time for WOSB participants to do the in-depth 3-year recertification cycle, meaning they get an additional year of eligibility. This means that "WOSB Program participants whose renewal date is on or between June 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025, will not need to complete a three-year Renewal until June 1, 2025." Reading between the lines, and with the knowledge that many WOSB participants take a long time to get reviewed, this may indicate the WOSB program is a bit overwhelmed with applications. Hopefully this change decreases wait times for current applicants. https://lnkd.in/e9a7HyT3

Important Update: Changes to Financial Services (Consolidated Licensing and Fees) Rules 2024 Starting from 1 October 2024, the Financial Services Commission (FSC) has implemented updates to the licensing and fees rules. Here’s a quick summary of the key changes: New Definition of “Withdrawn”: Applications that are either voluntarily withdrawn or deemed withdrawn under Section 17A of the Act now fall under this new definition. Fee Payment Process: For all types of licences (including Global Business and Authorised Company licences), the first annual fee must be submitted with the application. If a licence or authorisation is not granted, or is deemed withdrawn, the fee will be fully or partially refunded, without interest. Global Business and Authorised Company Licences: The first annual fee for these licences is now payable when the licence or authorisation is granted. However, the fee still needs to be submitted with the application, and refunds will be provided if the licence isn’t granted. These changes take effect from 1 October 2024. At Dolphin Management Services, we are ready to help you navigate these updates and ensure compliance with FSC regulations. Contact us for assistance with your licensing and fee submissions. #FSCUpdate #LicensingRules #GlobalBusinessLicence #AuthorisedCompany #DolphinManagementServices
