Re: What is DEI “NOW” Great piece Nicquel Terry Ellis wrote WHAT IS DEI and I would add from this from Diverse & Engaged DEI List “9 Things You Should Know About The Evolving State of DEI TODAY” eby Dee C. Marshall 1. DEI has expanded to a catch-all for all things pertaining to historically underrepresented groups, particularly Black people and LQBTQ+. 2. DEI is an umbrella reference to include efforts, initiatives, programs intended to course correct systemic racism and discrimination in the United States. 3. DEI has been politicized when the front runner of the anti-DEI movement began dismantling DEI programs funded by the government. 4. Anti-DEI is a movement primarily targeted against Black people beginning with a CRT battle to outlaw documented historical shame and stain on America from the Transatlantic Slave Trade that enslaved Africans for free labor to build the US including The White House (built by Slaves). #DEI #ANTIDEI #TeachableMoment
