How To Say No The Right Way! 🚫 Sometimes, 'No' is necessary, but it's just as important to validate your child's feelings afterward. Acknowledge their disappointment, and if possible, offer an alternative. Here 's an example of how to say 'No' the right way: "I'm sorry you can't see your friend today. I can tell you were looking forward to it, and you're disappointed right now. It makes sense to be sad/upset/frustrated! Can we plan your playdate together so you can see your friend next time?" This approach teaches them to manage emotions and adapt to life's ups and downs. It's like learning to block in martial arts—defense is crucial, but so is understanding when and how to use it. 🥋❤️ #ParentingTips #EmotionalIntelligence #MartialArtsWisdom"

The theory of food. The theory is taken from the principle that a hero has to be a monster. It states that if you are not cruel and wicked, you therefore become a victim of those cruel and wicked. Being nice without the capability of wickedness is you being naive and weak. Therefore you are ultimately the target board for those who are wicked and cruel. The theory doesn't support being wicked without cause. It simply says that you have to have the Side of cruelty so as to face cruelty from others. Lack of the ability to be cruel doesn't make you nice, it makes you a target, it makes you naive and weak. You therefore have to be nice but not without the ability to be cruel. If you take a martial art person as an example you would understand this theory much more. A martial arts person will not fight without cause but he has the ability to do so. Now imagine a person who cannot fight but is forced to enter a fight, he’ll simply be a victim of the other person who can fight. Don’t be just nice! Be nice with the ability to be cruel. -Suulola A.A #innovation #motivation #education

Martial arts training is a powerful tool that can transform both the mind and body. I believe that with the right teachings, individuals can develop a warrior spirit of selflessly serving others, mastering themselves, and positively influencing their environment. I am committed to empowering students to become their best selves both on and off the mat. I also believe that proper martial arts training is one of the most effective tools that can repair, condition, and elevate a person’s mind and body while developing the warrior spirit of selflessly serving others. With the right teachings, students can learn to master themselves and the positively influence the environments they live in. The goal of COR is to do just that. Teach individuals to build themselves and positively impact the communities they live in.

Personal observations: Martial arts, combatives, Krav, etc. taken primarily for self defense/protection purposes (not sport or competition or hobby), primarily attracts males roughly between their early teens to early 50s who were bullied and/or abused as children and throughout life, had enough and decided they were going to fight back. The ones who stick to it for 10-15 years+ roughly represent less than 3% of all males. Roughly 50% of that 3% will eventually teach/instruct their discipline with valiant loyalty while 50% of that half will eventually create their own systems with roughly 98% of these being a dichotomized juxtaposition of their favorite systems and styles they took from other people. Over 90% of these instructors suffer from childhood trauma (abuse, bullying) and have never professionally addressed it. They are teaching from the emotional standpoint of fear and anger which are grief and shame in disguise. This anger is manifested in their courses and teachings as activism against bullies and evil people, the evil people they refer to are generally the ones who hurt them which lead them to their present state. At the end of the day, the vast majority of self defense, combatives, and bastardized military systems watered down for soccer moms are nothing more than the instructor's anecdotal and myopic perceptions of what constitutes as violence and their entire systems and styles reflect that attracting more people like them. I know. I was one of them throughout my entire Senshido phase....

In the Dojo - Give it your all, the 110% As instructors, we see students progress with due diligence and discipline, they take every opportunity to grow and learn through every challenge even when it's painful. They are willing to push themselves to the limit. To be better than they were. Then we see the students that don't push themselves, the students that cringe at the word "conditioning", "workout routine" and "study". The students that take for granted the time they have to study and practice. Sadly, these are also the students that have very low self-esteem, poor behavior and believe that the next color belt will just handed to them without doing what is required. The purpose of conditioning, having a steady workout routine is to build muscle and help with coordination. There is no "try" in the martial arts, just do what is necessary in order to be prepared for an altercation and how to defuse a hostile situation because the mind is the greatest tool.

Think Martial Arts Isn't For Introverted Kids? 🤯 Think again! Martial arts offer an environment where introverted children can build confidence at their own pace. They also develop self-discipline, and learn to express themselves in a positive way. 💫 We don't want to turn them into extroverts! We want to focus on individual progress and personal growth, helping them shine without the pressure to be someone they are not. Every child, regardless of personality, can find strength and success on the mat! 🥋 #MartialArtsForAll #IntrovertsUnite #PersonalGrowth
