Marshall has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Romanian manufacturer, Bluespace Technology that will see them explore opportunities to partner on the design, development and integration of electromagnetic shielding and TEMPEST capabilities within containerised solutions. The agreement was signed on-site today at the Black Sea Defense & Aerospace International Exhibition (BSDA) taking place in Bucharest, Romania. The MoU covers areas where the two companies’ capabilities, products and services complement each other, and where their defence and business focus can be jointly expanded to provide end-to-end solutions to military customers. The two companies plan to rapidly develop a prototype military containersied solution and discuss the potential of setting up a manufacturing facility in Romania. Marshall has a diverse portfolio of businesses across a range of sectors including aerospace and defence, temperature-controlled distribution, skills and training, and property. Known as the Digital PAQuisitions team, the team’s goal is to create a digital version of an aircraft and make it available for when a U.S. foreign military partner expresses interest in a light reconnaissance capability. Once the foreign military partner is approved for the capability, the digital model can be taken “off the shelf” and turned into a physical aircraft, ultimately saving years in development, production, and fielding time. #FMS #militarysales #defense

Here are some interesting facts about it: 💰 Economic Contribution: Defence exports average £8-10 billion annually, making the UK one of the top arms exporters globally, ranking behind only the United States and Russia. It supports over 130,000 direct jobs and an additional 200,000 jobs indirectly through the supply chain. The UK is particularly strong in exporting military aircraft, missiles, naval systems, and advanced electronic systems. 🤖 Technological Innovation: The UK has been at the forefront of defence technology, contributing to major innovations such as radar, the jet engine, and stealth technology. The UK’s Tempest programme aims to develop a sixth-generation fighter jet, expected to incorporate cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence, advanced sensors, and directed energy weapons. 💻 Cyber Defence: The UK is increasingly focusing on cyber defence, with the establishment of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) in 2016. The defence industry is heavily involved in developing cyber capabilities to protect critical infrastructure and military assets. The UK is also a leader in developing electronic warfare capabilities, crucial for modern military operations. 🌍 International Partnerships: The UK is deeply integrated into international defence alliances, particularly NATO. It works closely with allies on joint defence projects, such as the F-35 Lightning II programme with the US. The UK collaborates with European partners on various projects, including the Eurofighter Typhoon, a multirole combat aircraft developed with Germany, Italy, and Spain. 🚢 Naval Capabilities: The Royal Navy is undergoing significant modernisation, with the introduction of new platforms such as the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carriers, the Astute-class submarines, and the Type 26 frigates. SecD-Day 2025 promotes Finland’s comprehensive security by producing information on current topics, products and services of the defence, security and aerospace industries.
