The IDSA is pleased to announce the publication of the latest SPV report by Atlantic Star Analytics which highlights the continued robustness and growth of the sector. The Q3-2023 report presents the headline figures and industry data to the end of September 2023, pointing to a record high in assets held by Irish SPVs, and the first time that SPV assets have surpassed the €1.1trillion mark.
· Assets held by Irish SPVs rose by €34.1bn (+3.2%) to reach €1.105trillion in assets during Q3, with both securitisation and non-securitisation vehicles showing growth. SPV assets at the end of Q3-2023 were split between FVCs (€623.4bn) and Other SPEs (€482.5bn). Active vehicle numbers remained near all-time highs, ending the quarter at 3,368 SPVs.
· The report’s year-on-year figures point to the continued steady growth of the Irish SPV sector with assets increasing by +32.5bn, representing a +3.0% yearly change and an increase of +49 vehicles, representing a +1.5% yearly change.
In the wider European context, Ireland now accounts for 31.5% of Euro Area FVC vehicles and 27.0% of Euro Area FVC assets.
