I find it incredibly frustrating when people assume that niqabis can't achieve as much as non-niqabis. It's so irritating to be judged based on what we wear, not what we can achieve. (Absolutely no disrespect intended to those who choose not to wear a niqab – it's all about personal choice!). I deeply resent the notion that wearing a niqab somehow limits a person's capabilities. It's not a barrier, it's a badge of honor. It's a symbol of our faith, a declaration of our values, and most importantly, a source of unwavering confidence and it doesn't diminish the value we can bring to the table. You might see this as a restriction, but I see it as empowerment. You might call it a limitation. I call it following will of Allah. The niqab doesn't hold us back, it lifts us up and personally, I feel more comfortable and empowered in my niqab. Pity? No thanks. I reserve that for those clinging to outdated stereotypes. It stings to be judged by what we wear, not the fire in our heart or the goals in our mind. Niqab doesn't make us any less qualified to be a leader, an entrepreneur, or a valuable asset to any team. We are doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, artists – we are women making a difference in every field imaginable. Here's the message I want to send loud and clear: Niqabis are powerful, capable, and ready to achieve anything we set our minds to. We can be influential leaders, successful business owners, and positive forces in society. It's time to rewrite the narrative and shatter these limiting stereotypes.
