Building Equity and Collaboration into Nonprofit Management Consulting | Growing community-centered organizations
As we continue to reflect on Black History Month, one idea that keeps coming up for me is the importance of community and networks. In this work, we thrive when we have a robust, regenerative, and supportive network. As black consultants and nonprofit leaders, it can be challenging to navigate our work and our professional development without pre-built professional networks that some of our colleagues seem to have. Coming from a farming family, my personal network is supportive and regenerative in many ways. That being said, when I go home, we don't discuss the modern philanthropic sector and how it can support black communities better. We laugh, reminisce, and we take care of each as humans. That is 100% important and it fills my cup in a way many other interactions do not. That's why I've intentionally built my "professional" network to serve as a complement to the support network I do have. I seek ways to build community wherever I go because I know that's how we change the world - as a powerful, interconnected network of changemakers. As we celebrate Black History Month, I would love to know about the black leaders, scholars, and professionals that you follow. Who has become an intentional part of your community and practice? Let's continue to grow this world where we are all connected in community and practice. #BlackHistoryMonth #CommunityBuilding #ProfessionalNetworks #Changemakers

This month is not just a time to reflect on the struggles and triumphs of the Black community but also an opportunity to celebrate the innovation, leadership, and resilience that have been instrumental in shaping our world. Inspirational Figures: We remember trailblazers like Dr. Carter G. Woodson, Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and contemporary leaders who continue to inspire change and equality. Reflective Question: How can we, as a community, continue to support diversity, inclusion, and equality in our workplaces and society? Educational Commitment: This month, I commit to educating myself further about Black history and culture. Reading, listening, and engaging in conversations are small but significant steps we can all take. Professional Growth: Let's also acknowledge the contributions of Black professionals in our industries. Their insights and experiences enrich our professional environments and pave the way for future generations. Call to Action: Join us in celebrating Black History Month. Attend local events, support Black-owned businesses, and take part in discussions that foster understanding and growth. #BlackHistoryMonth #CelebrateDiversity #BeTheChange

🌟 Celebrating Black History Month! 🌟 At CE International, we honor the legacy and contributions of Black individuals worldwide - in the past, present, and future. This #BlackHistoryMonth, we're reminded of the profound and important impact Black leaders, thinkers, and educators have had and continue to have on shaping the world, especially in the area of #education. The work of earlier Black trailblazers such as Mary McLeod Bethune and Fanny Jackson Coppin created educational opportunities for Black children in the U.S. Later, brave Black children such as Ruby Bridges walked into newly desegregated schools to pursue the education they deserved. Worldwide, countless Black leaders have worked to build quality educational opportunities for children and youth in their communities, and today, Black education leaders globally advocate, teach, and innovate to build better #education systems, resources, and opportunities for all. As we commemorate Black History Month, we celebrate these achievements and recommit ourselves to creating inclusive educational environments worldwide so that all children can thrive. Around the circle are decorative orange and yellow dots and color splashes of orange, yellow, and green.
