Today is World Mental Health Day, and this year’s theme is mental health in the workplace. DCAC is at its heart, a mental health organization. Recovery from abuse most often requires quality, specialized mental health care with a focus on trauma. At DCAC, we have an outstanding Treatment team consisting of seven child therapists who serve children in Denver with compassionate mental healthcare. In 2023, this team served 687 clients with 5,810 treatment sessions. Because of the nature of our work, our staff’s mental health is always top of mind, as well. Welcome, Ashley, our newest bilingual child and family therapist! Ashley has always been passionate about child welfare and promoting peace and equity in all areas of life. Ashley's clinical experience with children spans ages 0-18, with training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) and Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Ashley has experience working with populations impacted by various challenges such as intimate partner violence, sexual abuse, physical abuse, parenting support, behavioral difficulties, immigration trauma, and more.
