In the scope of my work, I came across the government's NAPS program to prioritize the protection of the population from HIV, Hep B and C, and other STDs. 🏥 😷 ⚕ I remember vividly the earlier #lovelife campaign, that has provoked and inspired conversations about sexual health and responsibility. Such motions not only safeguard public health, but also reflect a commitment to ensuring equal access to prevention measures, reducing stigma, and upholding the right to a healthy life for all individuals. Those living with HIV are mainly focused on the physical health symptoms they experience, but often times patients' mental health can be overlooked. Mental health is often neglected when talking to a patient about HIV prevention, care, and treatment. Physicians, remember to connect with your patients to create strategies enhancing their mental health.
