The burnout rate in some professions is astonishing, isn't it? In my current role as a Downtown Development Authority (DDA)director, the average tenure is 2.4 years, but l've been in this position for 3.5 years. What's driving this trend in certain jobs? I believe it largely boils down to the workload one person can manage alone. Downtown directors are responsible for a wide range of tasks including organization, promotions, events, economic development, downtown design, and managing volunteer groups and committees, often with minimal support. Ultimately, it all comes down to budget constraints and whether programs can afford to hire additional staff. What other careers have a high turnover?

Founder at Value Investing Academy (ViA). Our Vision is To Build a World Where Anyone Can Invest Effectively, Improve their Lives, & Give Back to the Society
💰What Keeps Employees!💰 In this video, she shared 4 tips among many others: 1) Fair Compensation • this is subjective, but in principle, you get more if you achieve more • previously, when I worked in NParks, you get the same as those slack ones. I quit! 2) Have a career roadmap • This is one big mistake that I have made • For someone whom we see good potential with a possible long run way, we need to help them map out the long term possibilities. Otherwise, they will not see any light at the end of the tunnel 3) Job Design • Have the staff take on some projects that they will get a sense of achievement 4) Relationship Among Colleagues • Highly intangible but critical • I used to have staff that cannot get along with someone else. As the team is small, it’s hard to move the company. Eventually, I need to let go of one staff. • During the interview and probation, it’s important to see if the person fits the cultural expectations. If not, let go of this person asap. It’s for the good of everyone so that none of us waste time with each other Hopefully, the above 4 points are useful both for the bosses and the employees. If you are an employee, it’s important for you to sit down and have a talk with your supervisor about your thoughts. If they dismiss what you say, perhaps you should look for another job. #CaydenDailyTots

✨ EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT ✨ At Beaumont People, we are all about 'Placing People First'. We’re taking you behind the scenes with posts highlighting our incredible team! Meet Sheridan Bagi, a valued member of our Associations & Membership team. Here is what Sheridan said about working at Beaumont People 👉 🩵 Tell us about your role and what a typical day looks like for you? Although every day is different, you will usually find me on the phone, meeting people or getting stuck into the nitty-gritty of back-end admin and writing – it’s the perfect blend! 🩵 What do you enjoy most about working at Beaumont People and why? At the risk of sounding cliché, I have to say I do enjoy building relationships within our network, with both candidates and clients. A job perfect for someone in Los Angeles is someone’s worst nightmare in New York... And that’s why cross-state recruitment is NOT the same! Not many companies can recruit cross-country, because the differences can be so stark. But we can. Recruiting across different states means not just looking at the job description It’s considering: > Local hiring market > Work / life balance preferences > Cost of living > Salary differences > Benefit expectations > Commuting > Work ethic …and a lot more. It’s not just about finding someone a good role and matching their salary expectations. You need to ask yourself: how does this person like to live? So if you're with a company looking to hire, we have the knowledge and a brilliant talent network that could be exactly what you need.

President of a Forbes Top 25 List of Best Professional Recruiting Firms in the USA. I bring CANDIDATES and COMPANIES together. Let me help you: FIND or FILL a JOB today.
The happiest we’ve ever been at work? In the midst of a pandemic, believe it or not. Now, with the pandemic behind us, employee happiness is plunging, according to many surveys. Particularly unhappy industries, according to BambooHR, include healthcare and hospitality. The happiest in 2023? Construction! This industry’s net promoter scores have stayed consistently high. Technology is another field where employees are generally happy, but those scores have begun to slip, with a 145% rate of decline recently. How about you? Are you happy at work? My job as a recruiter at Gables Search Group is to find people roles where they’ll thrive, and on the flip side, find the people who will thrive in the roles for my client companies.
