Here's our choose your own adventure game for Chris Rea's classic 'Driving Home For Christmas' - play for yourself here: https://lnkd.in/e5hphGhW ❄️ We're always thinking of ways to make the most of social media platforms, by using their in-built features to create interactive assets that capture your audience's attention. Read below for our designer Owen's comments on how he approached this project: 'Chris Rea’s team wanted us to create a fresh and engaging video for ‘Driving Home For Christmas’. We came up with the idea of making an interactive choose your own adventure video, where the viewer tries to drive home in time for Christmas. We used Youtube’s end screens to add a choice at the end of each video and the viewer would select which route they’d like to take.  The entire video used a combination of 2D and 3D elements. We illustrated the scenery and car in illustrator and then created the road network as a flat image and then angled it using after effect’s 3D camera to create a 3D scene for the car to move around.  One of the challenges was to make sure that the correct route wasn’t based on total luck. We added little clues throughout the adventure so that  eagle eyed viewers would pick up little hints on which direction to take.  The most enjoyable part of making this video was adding little points of interest throughout, for example; Santa flying by in the sky or deer bounding across the road.' How to find the right motion styles for your brand. 5 ways to get started: 1) Inspiration Create a moodboard to gather ideas that resonate with you and express how you want your brand to move. All great ideas begin with inspiration from others. 2) Easing Curves These control the speed at which an animation starts and finishes (link to a detailed post in the comments). A great tool for creating custom motion tailored to your brand. 3) Frame Rate The frame rate, whether 15, 30, or 60 fps, affects the animation's feel. For example, 60 fps is often used for UX and digital experiences, while 15 fps gives a more stop-motion effect. 4) Duration The length of an animation impacts its movement. For instance, a quick transition from point A to point B can convey energy and excitement, whereas a slower movement can create a luxurious feel for premium brands. 5) Attributes Position, scale, opacity, and rotation are key attributes for creating motion in your brand's designs and elements.
