Let’s talk about Hiring. I’m amazed at how many shops have a hard time hiring but don’t have any sorry of social media presence. Want to start finding top tier mechanics. Start making videos on your work culture. The things you believe and the way you handle situations with your techs, your clients and how you handle/run your business. I haven’t hired anyone yet at my shop. But I get mechanics reaching out constantly asking if I’m hiring and where I am located. Would all of them work out? Of course not but the fact that I’ve never made a single hiring ad in my life and I have techs asking me if I’m hiring speaks volumes in itself. Below is a video example of what I’m talking about as far as my beliefs and how I run my shop. With all these layoffs across the freight industry, going to try and use my reach to help people land. If you’re a freight tech founder and you’re hiring, drop a note in the comments with your company, a link to your hiring page, and maybe share what roles you’re trying to fill. Sales? Ops? Engineering? Product? There’s a lot of great talent on the market and a lot of new startups on the rise with some funding to make smart hires. Who is looking to hire some rockstar talent? Trying to wrap my head around the massive layoffs in the industry that are being masqueraded as not-layoffs. What's going on? Is the market that bearish? Or is this the outcome of hiring strategy in 2022-2023? Jury is still out on that one. I would like to commend the hard work of leaders and engineers whose verticals got elon'd. Many of you are returning to your roots: closer to where the sausage is made. This means more collaboration, and especially demystifying the oversaturated "senior" titles and taking more emphasis on training and setting a great example for new interns and junior roles. Most engineers and leaders have never been in a well-functioning engineering org. They crave an environment where they can observe an improving process with healthy compromises so that they can learn and grow. Is your team going to be shining light on their career path?

Seeing Value 📈 not only is business on the rise but I can see and hear the value of the work I do each day make an impact!
