Your body insecurities silently dictate your career moves and money decisions, and you may not be aware of this. 💯For many women, especially women of a certain background whose bodies do not fit the diet culture ideal standards, there's a subtle but yet powerful interplay between our body image and our bank accounts. 🤔How many times have we settled for a job that paid less than what we knew we could earn, played small, declined an invitation to a key networking event, turned down an opportunity not because we lacked the experience but because of how we perceived ourselves (looked or sounded)? 🙏🏾I was truly humbled and honored to share the stage with other amazing women at this Love, Wealth and Womanhood event to talk about the connection between our relationship with our bodies and our relationship with money. It might not be something we talk about often, but the way we perceive ourselves can have a serious impact on our financial well-being. 💜Oooooh! It was such a great event and I was truly inspired to be surrounded by women standing powerfully in their purpose. I’m still digesting all the gems shared at this event!!!
