World Health Organization ‘Strategy for optimizing national routine health information systems (RHIS)’ was developed to further support countries in their efforts to optimize their RHIS. 📌 The strategy enables the monitoring and delivery of Health Care Services, especially Primary Health Care (PHC). 📌 The strategy proposes principles for integrated, interoperable, evidence-informed, aligned and partnership-based RHIS through five strategic goals with measurable interventions. 📌 The strategy outlines a vision, supported by strategic goals, guiding principles, specific objectives and key interventions to improve health data collection, reporting, analyses and use at national, subnational and community levels. We are delighted to share that our research, “A scoping review of health systems resilience assessment frameworks” has been published in PLOS Global Public Health Journal, a journal dedicated to advancing global health equity by publishing open-access research that addresses critical issues such as health systems resilience, infectious diseases, and public health preparedness, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. The study has been co-authored by ACCESS Health members Sushma Marita Dsouza Dr.Shrikant Kalaskar MEHNAZ KABEER Latika Rewaria Dr. N. Krishna Reddy Maulik Chokshi and former members Anuradha Katyal and Sreemeena Satyanarayana. A brief by Jacquie Klotz, Charles Mathias, Ph.D., and Elena Marks reports findings from policy crowdsourcing workshops. Researchers, practitioners, and policymakers joined the Texas NMDOH Consortium to collaborate on identifying NMDOH policy opportunities in Texas. In the Fall of 2024, the Texas NMDOH Consortium will publish policy recommendations to elaborate on opportunities to advance the integration of non-medical interventions into the health care system. These past two days I've had the opportunity to learn about Inequity Measurement in Canadian Health Systems from a diverse range of industry experts. This workshop series put on by Institute for Better Health - Trillium Health Partners, allowed participants to: 1) Gain insight into methods being used or considered within other health systems 2) Share how equity data is collected, shared & used to address & reduce inequities 3) Discussed systematic integration of inequity measures to ensure equity is a key component of decision making & service design across health systems.
