Heavy duty modular trailers are the future in the field of logistics in Mauritania. Despite more than 20 years of logistics activities in the mining, oil and gas sector. Today, none of the local logistics companies have a single hydraulic modular trailer for abnormal goods.The work is usually carried out by a subcontractor, which results in a significant loss in terms of local content since it is a normal logistics operation. We must revise our logistics strategy, invest in the area of need and stop competing on simple trucking services. The modular system allows oversized goods to sit closer to the road and achieve varying ground pressures by sharing the load across more axles and a larger surface area. It also allows more difficult driving routes to be used, as different configurations provide more maneuverability. Using options such as a beam frame also allows the load to be raised and lowered throughout transport to clear bridges and walls. Examples of uses: transformers, mining crushers, subsea infrastructures... the development of the industrial sector leads to the need for abnormal goods transport services.

The English language contains a rich assortment of phrases, and, having selected Svitzer to provide four state-of-the-art specialist tugs working as an integrated fleet to service the BW Batangas FSRU and all visiting LNG carriers, First Gen Corporation and FGEN LNG can be said to be 'sitting pretty', a 20th-century phrase of American origin, meaning comfortably placed or well situated. Svitzer, which is part of A.P. Moller - Maersk is a global leader in sustainable marine services, with over 190 years of knowledge and experience, that provides customers such as FGEN LNG with business-critical and safe towage services and maritime solutions. In the photo below, the four Svitzer tugs are assisting the berthing of an LNG Carrier at the First Gen Interim Offshore LNG Terminal in Batangas, Philippines. Given Svitzer's focus on continually improving the Svitzer customer experience through "deep listening" and the sophisticated technology it has deployed, FGEN LNG is confident that it will never be left 'high and dry', a much older phrase first used in print in the London Times in 1796, meaning stranded, without help or recovery. Saipem Secures Framework Agreement with bp for Offshore Operations in #Azerbaijan Milan, Italy, July 12, 2024 – Saipem announces a new framework agreement with BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited. The agreement involves a consortium comprising Saipem Contracting Netherlands B.V., BOS Shelf LLC, and BOS Shelf International FZCO. Under this agreement, the consortium will conduct offshore activities in the Caspian Sea using the SCV Khankendi, a cutting-edge subsea construction vessel owned by the Shah Deniz consortium. The total service value, upon request, is approximately $300 million, with Saipem's share at $250 million. Saipem will manage the vessel and provide the crew for marine operations in the Shah Deniz and Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields. The three-year agreement, extendable by two years, strengthens Saipem’s long-standing partnership with BP and reinforces its commitment to offshore operations in the region since the 1990s. 𝐅𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐬𝐥𝐨 🌍 🚢 🤝 Petrobras, the Brazilian oil and gas giant, has just completed an extensive tour of Norway, culminating in a visit to Oslo. Their visit relates to the fact that over the next 4 years, Petrobras will undergo a large-scale investment process, with investments totaling 73 billion dollars. Due to the Brazilian fleet generally having a high average age, 38 of the vessels for which contracts are to be tendered are to be new builds. Here there are great opportunities for the international maritime industry and Petrobas was keen to meet with potential suppliers from Norway.   It was therefore interesting for Tschudi Shipping Company to be invited to the breakfast meeting hosted by the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association in Oslo. Here Felix H. Tschudi and Jon Edvard Sundnes were able to present our Group activities and update on our offshore and ship management expertise from and related to the region. In particular, the recent Tschudi Ship Management AS project of reactivating and modifying several “Oceanica” vessels at the Kleven Yard, Norway – all being revamped for the offshore industry before returning to end client Petrobas in Brazil after the refurbishment.
