I hope one of these Ministers will be allocated responsibility to reduce the stress and anxiety faced by tens of thousands of Pancreatic Enzyme Replacement Therapy patients every time we submit and wait for a prescription to be fulfilled. Creon is in short supply until at least 2026 (probably longer) and patients need to know our prescriptions are fulfilled in date order. The existing prescription process is not fit for purpose resulting in some patients waiting weeks whilst others face no delay. PERT is essential to be able to eat which means long delays and the resulting stress negatively impacts quality of life. Patients with RARE conditions deserve to be RECOGNISED and SUPPORTED. Hopefully with a new government and new leadership, the demands of the health sector can be met through reform and modernisation to fit the twenty first century. Working collaboratively across the industry, whether General Practitioners, Hospital and local health centers, along with improving working conditions across the industry and utilizing technology. This will only help improve our National Health Service.
