'Guardians of Creation' approaches the global challenge of climate change from the perspective of a global faith; this webinar is being run three times to accommodate time zones across the world!
On 7 February the 'Guardians of Creation' project are holding webinars for international audiences, intended for those with managerial responsibilities in dioceses, religious orders, charities or other religious and faith-based organisations.
Since 2020, the Guardians of Creation Project has worked with Catholic Dioceses in England and Wales to develop guidance on decarbonizing its properties. We want to share our learning from the project so far and discuss your experiences.

What is the GCU Foundation?
In this month's article, Atty. John J. Urban, National Director, describes it as a "charitable entity organized by GCU for the purpose of advancing the interests of GCU members, members of Byzantine Churches in the US, and individuals who are interested in learning more about the Byzantine Catholic Church, its Slavic heritage and its Rusyn culture. The GCU Foundation advances the above interests by making monetary grants for charitable, educational and religious purposes."

On this Feast Day of Saint Vincent de Paul (1581-1660), we celebrate the life and inspiration of the Society’s namesake. We reflect on Saint Vincent’s legacy of charity, compassion, and love for the poor. His understanding that addressing poverty requires not just charity but advocating for social justice.
🙌🏻
Saint Vincent’s example inspired the 20-year-old Frédéric Ozanam and his friends in the mid-19th century, when Paris was in tumult and people struggled to survive. They named the Society after Saint Vincent de Paul, who was the patron saint of charities.
🙌🏻
As Saint Vincent said, "Charity is the cement which binds communities to God and persons to one another." Our strength lies in working together, united by a common goal of serving those in need… inspired by the actions and faith of our revered namesake.
🙌🏻
May God bless the memory of Saint Vincent de Paul and give us the strength to follow his example, faithfully and courageously. Saint Vincent de Paul, pray for us 🙏
This moment is different. I see vast opportunities for our community. With talent, experience, drive, and strength in numbers, I believe it’s our time to lead, grow businesses, and build generational wealth.
However, these opportunities are at greater risk than they have been in years. The social, political, and economic landscapes have shifted, particularly since the 2023 Supreme Court ruling on affirmative action. Race-based philanthropic investments are being challenged, DEI commitments have been scaled back, and fear is surfacing everywhere.
Recent conversations I had have felt like echoes from the past. There were moments I felt fear for myself and my team, as we faced attacks for standing by our mission and values. But I am not backing down. The stakes are too high; this inflection point calls for courage, determination, and action.
This Hispanic Heritage Month must be more than a celebration. It’s a call to renew our commitment to unlocking the Latino community’s full potential. We need real investments in organizations that build power, influence, and wealth. This is our chance to unite, strengthen our collective impact, and share a vision for the future.
Together, we can drive meaningful change and safeguard generations of progress. I believe our best days are ahead because I’ve seen the power of this community. If you share this vision, the Latino Leadership Institute is ready to connect and make it a reality.
