Today in my office to safety moment I talked about Ergonomics. Ergonomics is vital in the workplace for optimizing human performance and well-being. By designing workspaces and tasks to suit human capabilities and limitations, it reduces the risk of injuries and discomfort associated with repetitive motions or awkward postures. This not only enhances employee health and satisfaction but also improves productivity and quality of work. Ergonomic interventions can prevent musculoskeletal disorders, fatigue, and other health issues, leading to reduced absenteeism and healthcare costs for employers. In today's competitive environment, where employee well-being directly impacts organizational success, investing in ergonomics is crucial. It fosters a safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable work environment, promoting a positive company culture and enhancing overall performance. Halliburton #TSS

Safety moments are brief discussions or reminders about safety procedures that are crucial in the oil field. These discussions can cover a wide range of topics, from hazard identification and risk assessment to the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The oil and gas industry can be inherently hazardous, so it's vital for workers to be constantly aware of the safety risks around them. Safety moments help to keep safety at the forefront of everyone's mind and can help to prevent accidents and injuries.

This devastating event underscores the critical importance of ongoing safety measures in the energy sector. At GardaWorld, under the leadership of Safety Team Director Jason Schlattman and Safety Specialist Judd Allen, we are constantly evolving our safety programs. Our focus includes comprehensive safety training, both online and hands-on, to ensure that every team member is prepared before they start work and throughout their regular duties. We reinforce this with Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), drills, tabletop exercises, and weekly safety messages sent directly to our leadership teams. Additionally, we send safety text messages to all employees in our Energy Sector to keep them informed and aware. We use this day each year to bring everyone on the team together to reflect, review, and share ideas about how we can be accountable for one another and maintain our focus on making Shell a safer place.
