Testing on the F1tenth car : 1. The Jetson, the LIDAR and the particle filter were all powered ON from the power board with a battery bank. 2. A display was also hooked up to the Jetson. 3. Everything together consumed about 1.5A, but this was at 5V which is stepped down from the Jetson's power input - the actual current draw from the 19V output of the power board would just be around 300mA. It's rated for 4A. The motors were also running directly powered by the battery and not the power board. 4. Furthermore, tests were conducted where all 6 cores of the CPU and GPU at 100% load were running continuously for a 10 minute period. The Jetson bandwidth latency test which peaked at 2A (~500mA from the 19V line) was also conducted. B. Load bench testing:  Ratings: 5V @1A, 12V@2A and 19V@4A These ratings were tested on a load bench for 20 minutes each Thanks to Ambimat Electronics, Neel Shah, Hongrui Zheng, Vishnu V., Zhijun Zhuang, Ahmad Amine, Rosa Zheng, Mingyan Zhou for design, testing and production. This report confirms that the mainstream market will likely be level 2/level 2+ within the next 5-10 years. A robust and cost-effective perception system, along with reasonable computing requirements will be key to serving this high-volume market. Camera and radar sensor fusion is a cost-effective solution, even considering the extra cost associated with improving radar resolution via software and/or hardware (4D imaging radar) and potentially leveraging the new generation of 3D stereovision with separated cameras and large baseline, allowing excellent accuracy at long distances. Cost-effective alternatives to adding LiDAR are needed in the L2/L2+ market.

The challenge in automotive camera image sensing is immense: processing millions of pixels per second without sacrificing data precision, detecting hazards at greater distances, and ensuring a high degree of color fidelity in low light environments. The latest advancements in Image Signal Processor (#ISP) technology – like indie’s newly released iND880xx camera video processor family – are engineered to expand high dynamic range imaging, support advanced color filter arrays for accurate color representation and low light performance, and improve the effectiveness of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (#ADAS). CRASHTEST-Battle. 8,5 out of 9 possible points!! Who has the strongest Emergency Braking systems? Almost perfect performance by our NIO ET5 👇 But first, big applause to #BMW as well, the only German premium/volume brand that willingly participated in testing their system. And achieved a great score too (6/9). And how about NIO? 3 different scenarios, tested 3 times each: 8,5 out of 9 possible points. There was only one instance where the NIO did not fully brake for the dummy in a heavy rain scenario. On all other occasions (even in the rain scenario), it detected the dummy and braked perfectly. And why? ▶️ 33 cameras and sensors w/ LiDAR ▶️ 24 assisted driving features ▶️ 4 NVIDIA Orin X chips, 1016 TOPS ➕ a true commitment to customer-centricity and safety!!
