Happy World Environment Day! 🌎 At RAIN Pure Mountain Spring Water, we’ve made it our mission to help end our unnecessary and harmful dependence on #singleuse #plastics. We still understand the convenience of bottled water; that’s why we provide a #sustainable #aluminum #packaging option that’s better for the environment and for you. 💙💧 Our founder Mark Majkrzak says, "Nearly 1 million plastic bottles are used every minute of every day, and only 9% of those are ever recycled. Plastics are a necessary product in our modern lives, but as a society we have not done enough to manage the waste produced. Our waterways, oceans and landfills are overrun with plastic pollution. An adjustment here requires effort from all of us, and should not come at a sacrifice to convenience. Regardless of a person's personal opinion on environmental issues, we can agree that garbage should not be in the ocean, lakes and streams.” #notplastic #worldenvironmentday

🌍 Let's talk about the power of small changes for our planet! Did you know that each year, over 300 million tons of plastic is produced worldwide? 😱 Out of this staggering amount, 8 million tons end up in the sea, posing a serious threat to marine life. What's even more alarming is that it takes a whopping 400 years for most plastic to degrade. 😔 But fret not! There's a simple yet impactful step we can take to combat this crisis: switching to refillable pens! 🖊️ By opting for refillable pens instead of disposable ones, we reduce the demand for single-use plastics, ultimately lessening the amount of plastic waste that ends up in our oceans. Together, let's make a difference! 🌊 Let's choose refillable pens and say goodbye to plastic pollution. 🌟 Together, we can create a healthier and cleaner environment for generations to come. 💚 The Pilot Super Grip G Ocean Pen comes in a handy Pack with 3 refills! There is something so incredibly powerful about a day dedicated to spreading positivity, knowledge, and hope. It's a day to shift our focus solely onto solutions, victories, and actionable steps forward, rather than dwelling on the negatives. Let's embrace the opportunity to ask, "What can we do?" instead of lamenting, "What have we done?" 🌎 This year's #EarthDay theme, "Planet vs. Plastics," highlights the urgent need to address plastic pollution and the resulting health effects of our reliance on single-use plastics. In support of this cause, we've gathered valuable resources on the history of Earth Day, single-use plastics, and practical solutions to make a meaningful impact in combating plastic pollution in your every day life. - Stock up on reusable, plastic-free alternatives such as straws, totes, cutlery, water bottles, and more with the Package Free store (50% off sitewide right now!): https://lnkd.in/gVbbseVM - 10 Surprising Facts About Earth Day (TIME article by Solcyre (Sol) Burga and Simmone Shah): https://lnkd.in/gR7VGSTD - Recycling 101 from Waste Management (WM): https://lnkd.in/dCw-d9q #EarthDay #CitizenScience #CitizenScientist #PlasticPollution #Plastics #CleanWater #WaterQuality #Microplastics #PublicHealth

The Love Hate Relationships with PLASTIC! Plastics have become a convenient necessity in our everyday lives. After all, they’re made to be durable and last longer than a lifetime. But unfortunately, most plastic products are made to be used just once before they’re thrown away. This is costing our environment. Marine life can also suffocate or starve when they mistake plastics for food 🐢 Today's SOS (Save Our Seas) that aims to enlighten, inspire, and mobilize individuals and communities to take collective action against plastic pollution and start recycling everything you can ♻💚 #MyCleanBeach #WiraPlastik #ZeroWaste #SmallActionsBigImpact #SaveOurSeas #SustainableFuture

According to a United Nations report, the world produces about 400 million metric tons of plastic waste each year. Of this amount, between 75 and 199 million tons finds its way into marine food chains and immense garbage patches in our Ocean. In order to stop the flow of plastic waste ending up in the environment, systematic change needs to be implemented. By establishing a permanent presence underwater, PROTEUS™ is poised to enable research to combat plastic pollution and preserve our oceans for future generations. Check out the feature below to dive deeper into how our planet is suffocating under the weight of plastic, and to explore eleven actionable steps we can all take to #BeatPlasticPollution for #CleanSeas: https://lnkd.in/g6CvwVrJ

📌Every year, around 11 million tons of plastic end up in the sea, endangering the marine ecosystem and the health of every living being. 📆Today is World Ocean Day, one more reason to reflect on its importance. Plastic takes hundreds of years to decompose. That is why we find it in the middle of the oceans, forming gigantic islands of waste. Just think that a plastic bag takes about 20 years to be disposed of, while a plastic bottle takes about 450 years. These numbers should make us reflect on the importance of reducing the use of this material to preserve this great blue lung as much as possible.
