Its key roles include patrolling the waters around the UK, detecting and interdicting threats on the international waters, and providing security for the vessels of other nations. 🛳 The Royal Air Force and British Army are the other two branches of the UK's military service. The air force has the world's oldest air force museum and some of the most modern jet trainers and combat aircraft. Dear Ukrainian Warfighters... Have you ever noticed how there are NOT TicToc videos of current or social media posts about future combat operations involving the US Army Special Forces, US Navy SEALS, USMC Strikers, 75th Ranger Regiment, Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta, 82nd Airborne Division, or any other US military operations? The reason is simple, it's a really stupid idea to share such things which the enemy is watching and taking notes. It's even considered a crime to share such nonsense and especially when it jumps the chain of command and tells 5ws about the unit and the defenders in the unit. What's more surprising is that the American General Staff is unaware that Ukrainian units regularly post these OPSEC violations on TicToc and WhatNot. So obviously the American General Staff can't suggest to Ukrainian General Staff about simple OPSEC violations and how they lead to a jackpot. Or they're timid...or maybe it's a genius plan in the manner of Sun Tzu. Maybe not.

A deep breath, a reassuring smile, and the unwavering resolve to tackle any challenge head-on. I often share videos highlighting the incredible work the US Navy and other naval forces accomplish globally, showcasing their dedication and their positive impact worldwide. However, an aspect of their service is often overlooked: the inherent dangers of even routine training exercises. To bring this point home, I wanted to highlight an incident involving an SM-2 Missile launch failure aboard the German frigate FGS Sachsen. A similar mishap occurred a few years earlier on the USS The Sullivans (DDG-68). Fortunately, these incidents resulted in no injuries, a testament to the rigorous safety protocols and professionalism of naval personnel. Yet, they serve as a stark reminder of the risks our service members face, even during what might be considered ordinary training exercises near their homeport. So, the next time you meet a military service member, remember to extend your gratitude for their service. Whether on duty in distant waters or training near shore, their commitment to defend us carries inherent risks. Let's acknowledge and appreciate their bravery and the sacrifices they make to ensure our security and uphold peace worldwide. In many military organizations, including naval forces, there exists an unwritten principle: commanders must prioritize the well-being of their crew above their own, particularly in perilous situations. This ethos is fundamental to military leadership, obligating commanders to exhaust all avenues to secure the safety and welfare of their subordinates before considering their own. This principle serves as a cornerstone in military culture and is indispensable for fostering trust and operational effectiveness within a unit. I argue that a similar principle, adapted appropriately, should be integrated into corporate culture as well.
