In both business and life, the best outcomes arise from collective effort. Consider the tireless dedication of caretakers nurturing children—they epitomize the spirit of mutual support and shared goals. Similarly, in our professional endeavors, collaboration allows us to blend diverse expertise, foster creativity, and achieve results that exceed individual capabilities. At MarksMan Healthcare, we believe in partnerships where everyone is dedicated to adding value to one another. Through these mutually beneficial collaborations, we can drive impactful change, elevate our work, and reach new heights together. Let's continue to build bridges, support each other, and create a future where our combined strengths lead to extraordinary outcomes. #Collaboration #HealthcareCommunications #HEOR #RWE #MedicalAffairs #Innovation #MutualSuccess

I love LinkedIn for the crowd-sourcing! Yesterday, in response to my post about person-centered, someone sent me the Continuum of Person Directedness. I could not help but recognize the similarities between Cormac Russell's Four modes of change and the Pioneer Network's adaptation of Crotty's Continuum of Person Directedness. 🌟 Empowering Caregivers & Communities 🌟 Cormac Russell’s Four Modes of Change (To, For, With, By) and the Continuum of Person-Directedness (Provider-directed, Person-centered, Person-directed, Citizenship) by Crotty, Radner, & Misiorski both highlight a shift in power and engagement. They move from top-down approaches where providers lead, to models where individuals and communities drive change. 🔹 To/Provider-directed: Care is decided by providers. 🔹 With/Person-centered: Partners with individuals for tailored support. 🔹 By/Citizenship: Recognizes people as leaders and changemakers. For family caregivers, this means being seen not just as recipients of help, but as vital contributors shaping their communities. Let’s build systems that value their strengths! 💪 #FamilyCaregivers #CommunityLeadership #ABCD #PersonCenteredCare See: Pioneer Network Continuum of Person Directed Culture https://lnkd.in/gFRDDaVQ Cormac Russell’s Four Modes of Change (To, For, With, By) https://lnkd.in/dpK3wQpA Cormac Russell will be the Keynote Speaker at Caregivers Alberta Caregivers Together Conference on November 1 and 2, 2024 https://lnkd.in/gfvNVThW

Finding My Voice: Lessons Learned on Leadership and Resilience. (Trust me to find a video of those early days with my Steven Hawkins voice) As I reflect on reaching the fourth year since my vocal cord removal (Coming up soon), a profound sense of gratitude washes over me. The journey has been arduous, yet incredibly empowering. It taught me the true meaning of resilience, and how even when stripped of your voice, your spirit can roar. However, my experience and recents events has also shed light on a crucial aspect of leadership: accountability. When leadership lacks ethical standards, it can create a breeding ground for harmful behavior. Witnessing patterns of bullying, deception, and disregard for basic employee needs can erode well-being and cripple a workplace. True leadership demands fostering a safe space where fair practices and respect are paramount. It's not about self-serving agendas, but about building a culture that empowers individuals to thrive. Without holding ourselves to the highest moral standards, we create fertile ground for toxicity. Witnessing patterns of bullying, deception, and disregard for basic needs (like timely pay) erode not just employee well-being, but also the very foundation of a healthy workplace. True leadership demands fostering a safe space where fair practices and ethical behavior reign supreme. It's not about self-enrichment, but about building a culture that empowers individuals and allows them to thrive. Sometimes, a personal crisis can become a catalyst for positive change. It compels us to re-evaluate, to demand better, and to break free from detrimental patterns. Its easy to say let's embrace the power of reflection, and commit to creating positive, lasting change in our workplaces. Sometimes you have to lead the change even if it means you bring in your legal counsel to help take the next steps. If there is one thing our freedom teaches me is that advocating to do better is freedom itself. About my Steven Hawkins voice gosh what I am learning #CancerRecovery is not for sissies. Looking forward to taking my voice to wider, more inslucsive and diverse spaces. As I get ready to enter the speaking arena as a new opportunity looking forward to the doors and tables you can help me connect to. #TuesdayMotivation #leadership #accountability #ethics #workplaceculture #resilience

Lovely to be out and about at the LDN Collective session on Engagement, Co-Design, and Social Value! Here are some key takeaways from the event: - Don't wait for people to come to you; reach out to them proactively. - Embrace creativity in your approach. - Explore various avenues to connect with others and learn from their perspectives. - Educate individuals on the built environment to empower them to ask insightful questions. - Digital connections play a significant role in today's world. Insightful contributions from Hannah Smart of edge design highlighted the importance of context, it's about creating a space that belongs to everyone and not just a select few, emphasising the collaborative effort involved. Tim Ashwin posed thought-provoking questions on making proposals more meaningful and authentic, the monetisation of social value, and how businesses can effectively prioritize social value. Ably hosted by Oliver Deed and embracing an open mic style discussion - it was great to have a diverse table to promote conversation from different perspectives and experiences. #Engagement #CoDesign #SocialValue #BuiltEnvironment #Connection #Collaboration #Innovation #LDNCollective Sarah Rawlings The Invisible Agency Tom Perry

When do you do your best work...? I do my best work when I can't stop smiling. When my face and every fiber of my being is doing a merry, joyful dance of happiness. When I am having so much fun, I lose sense of time. Nobody needs to make sure I am working from the office. Nobody needs to micro-manage me or look over my shoulder to make sure I am not screwing my company. Joy is a business strategy to maximize long term profits. The biggest challenge for leaders is figure out how to find the intersection of company profit with the joy of the team members. Once you crack this code, joyful employees will take care of the profit. The biggest failure of leadership is the failure to hire and inspire people who will be joyful at delivering company value. What do you think...?
🌞 Do you think JOY makes a difference in the bottom line of your organization? ☑️ You better believe it! Need proof? Check out this article: "When virtually every organization today is reshaping work, it’s paramount that firms recognize the importance of joy. Their ability to attract and retain top talent depends on it." https://hubs.la/Q02Jph2h0 At Org Whisperers, we understand that joy is a key part of success. Our vision is a world where organizations catalyze inspired teams that are ethical, accountable, impactful, consistent, and joyful. "How many days a week do your team members go home with a smile on their face and a sense of fulfillment, joy, and energy to give to their families?" —Ravi Verma (PST, CPCC, CRP) How can we help you and your teams? https://hubs.la/Q02JpfgQ0 #Joy #OrgWhisperers #AgileTransformation
