Components of Containerized Mobile Water Supply Equipment: This set of equipment is consisted of water purification equipment, container and lighting equipment.The water purification equipment is mainly used for purifying the water to meet the drinking standard. It adopts the combination of membrane method and traditional water treatment technology. The treated water quality reaches GB5749-2006 “ National Drinking Water Standard”, and the water yield capacity of the equipment is 500m3/d. Container: The container mainly provides a carrier for the water purification equipment, which facilitates the transportation of the water purification equipment, and provides protection for the equipment under different working environments. In the purifying process, it provides a relatively good operating environment and ensures the stable operation of the water purification equipment, so the stable operation of the equipment cannot be affected due to the unevenness of the ground. Lighting equipment: Because of the large size of the container, in order to avoid the misoperation caused by insufficient lighting under the different environment, special lighting equipment is installed in the container to ensure the safe operation of the equipment. Day 20: Maximizing Efficiency with Seal Water Management Let's begin today with a quick recap of our journey so far, covering days 15 through 19. We've emphasized the importance of raising awareness and accountability for efficient water usage in industries. We discussed data collection as the foundation for informed decisions and even explored a real-life scenario where addressing leaks saved both lives and money. Building on this, today we dive into a specific technique that can significantly reduce the consumption of freshwater by companies employing seal pumps. Many industrial pumping systems, whether using packing seals or mechanical seals, rely on seal water for their optimal operation. Seal water primarily serves three critical functions: Cooling the seal and shaft Lubricating the seal Flushing impurities from the system The quantity of water used as seal water varies, depending on factors like the seal and shaft type, water quality, temperature, and applied pressure. By implementing a control system that includes control valves and flow meters, companies can precisely regulate the water introduced to the pump, preventing damage. This approach typically leads to a reduction in freshwater usage and offers a return on investment within 2 to 3 years. For example, consider a specific project where seal pumps initially consumed 6 liters of water per minute per seal. After installing control valves and flow meters, they now use only 0.5 liters per minute. This small adjustment resulted in an annual saving of 3000 cubic meters of drinking water per pump. In this particular case, the company had three pumps, resulting in an overall saving of approximately 9000 cubic meters of precious drinking water each year. To put this in perspective, that's about the amount of drinking water consumed by 200 people in the Netherlands.
