National Inclusion week (NIW) kicked off this week (23rd-29th September 2024) ✨ Those that know me personally, professionally or both, know that one of the things I'm passionate about is discussing #DiversityandInclusion. This year's NIW theme 'Impact matters', focuses on understanding, identifying and measuring impact on marginalised groups. It's not always easy to measure impact. However, it is an ongoing conversation that we as individuals, colleagues and professionals shouldn't shy away from or be comfortable to do nothing about - especially those in Leadership positions. I'm always open to learn from others who are doing work around measuring 'impact' or work in the #DiversityandInclusion space. I'd love to chat about this in more detail! Something I'm proud of this week that I'd like to share is.. 💭 I'm volunteering for the The Prince's Trust, to support young people who are considered NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) to develop the skills and confidence to find a job or start a business. I've reviewed C.Vs and will also be delivering a 2-hour online workshop to around 20 young people between the ages of 16-25 around the importance of team work before they kick off their 12- week programme ✨ What Impact will I have? I'm not too sure if I'm honest... However, I'm keen to stay engaged with The Prince's Trust to understand how the young people progress. It's been a while since I've delivered workshops to young people...
