About us

Established in May 2011, we are the UK's first and leading inclusion membership organisation for employers looking to build inclusive workplaces. With a membership of over 450 organisations and growing, we work in partnership with our members so that we can bring together best practice and cutting-edge thinking to promote innovation and support organisations to gain from the social and commercial benefits of inclusion. Working across the whole spectrum of inclusion, we also design and deliver training and consultancy solutions, offer CMI qualifications in Inclusion & Diversity and have our own accreditation, the Inclusive Employers Standard. We work through organisations advocating an approach that helps everyone understand that diversity is about them, and inclusion is their opportunity to add value and feel valued. Our approach is robust and practical, innovative and courageous. If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got. Inclusive Employers was founded in 2011 and runs National Inclusion Week in September each year.

The Employment Rights Bill 2024 is considered as the largest overhaul to employment law in a generation.    The Bill details the new Labour government’s plans to amend the law regarding worker’s rights covering areas such as:  - Sick pay entitlement from the first day of sickness  - More right to flexible working  - Making unfair dismissal claims a ‘day one’ right  - Changes to minimum wage  - And more Immediate actions for organisations are to:  - Undertake a policy audit to identify risks in your current policy suite.  - Develop a prioritised roadmap for amending and developing new policies that reflect best practice and are co-created with your staff e.g. staff networks, Union reps, D&I steering groups, and employee voice channels.  - Identify opportunities to embed inclusive best practice into your roadmap.    Our Director of Impact, Addison Barnett says: “These changes provide a breadth of opportunities to embed inclusive practice and policy into your organisation. Forward-thinking organisations will use these changes as an opportunity to create policies and practices that are sustainable, inclusive and impactful to everyone, setting them up to attract and retain talent.”    Take the next step: Visit our website to find out what these changes mean for your organisation and see how Inclusive Employers can support you in navigating any necessary changes and creating inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive. https://lnkd.in/evWJgJAq   #EmploymentRightsBill #WorkersRights #InclusiveWorkplace

🔴 Inclusive Employers: What’s been your most memorable moment in your inclusion career? 💬 Clare Robertson: Being told by colleagues about the impact of my work through strategies, policies, but also through sharing my stories and empowering my team to continue the work. We could read the improved survey results, which were great, but it wasn’t until I left my last role in Australia and read my leaving card filled with hundreds of heartfelt messages and feedback that I realised that I had made a difference, which was humbling and incredibly special. 💻 To learn more about our Senior Inclusion and Diversity Consultant (Global), Clare Robertson's inclusion journey, read their Five Minutes With interview: https://lnkd.in/emJZfwUP #Inclusion #Diversity #EDI #FiveMinutesWith
