Episode 164 is OUT NOW!!! (link at the bottom of caption) Speaking up can feel scary, when we know ahead of time that our beliefs and views vary from the majority opinion. So often we DON'T speak up, because we do not see a point in it. We believe that if we speak up, and it does not create change in the people who hear us, that we have somehow wasted our time. But, what if I told you that speaking up has a much more powerful reason behind it? What if I told you that speaking up this year, with a new objective, could just change the way you use your voice forever? Would you want to hear about it? Despite this, you must listen calmly and somewhat detached. Ask probing questions to help fill in the gaps in their narrative. As an impartial and unemotional participant in the conversation, it's crucial to dig into their story and truly understand what the client wants.
