Having an external support system that shows up for you and encourages you to keep going. My biggest cheerleaders were my family when my children were young and then, my kids became cheerleaders for me. They were just as proud of me as I was of them!

Bolu Omidiji, MBA, IEMA Very true indeed! I've found that having that senior leaders/c-suite sponsors who act as your advocate and ally, especially, when they do not look like you, have been beneficial to helping advance my career and being invited into spaces that I otherwise may not have been invited.
