As a veteran, I understand that Memorial Day can be a bit confusing to navigate. It’s more than just a long weekend; it’s a time to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. If you're wondering how to truly celebrate Memorial Day tomorrow, here are a few meaningful ways: 🇺🇸Visit a Memorial or Cemetery: Pay your respects by visiting a local memorial or cemetery. Placing flowers or flags on the graves of fallen soldiers is a powerful gesture of remembrance. 🇺🇸Attend a Memorial Day Ceremony: Many communities hold ceremonies or parades to honor the fallen. Participating in these events can be a heartfelt way to show your respect and gratitude. 🇺🇸Pause for a Moment of Silence: At 3 PM local time, join the National Moment of Remembrance. It’s a small act, but a collective pause can have a big impact. 🇺🇸Support Veterans: Consider donating to organizations that support veterans and their families. It’s a way to give back and ensure that their legacy lives on through continued support. 🇺🇸Share Stories and Memories: If you know a veteran or have family members who served, take the time to listen to their stories or share memories of those who are no longer with us. 🇺🇸Display the Flag: Fly the American flag at half-staff until noon, then raise it to full staff until sunset. It’s a traditional way to honor those who have fallen in the morning and salute living veterans in the afternoon. Remember, Memorial Day is about more than barbecues and beach trips (though I love those too!). It's a day to reflect, honor, and remember. #supportourveterans #veteranshelpingveterans #veteransupport #veteranlife #specialforces #supportourtroops

Today, as we celebrate Memorial Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on the true essence of this day. → It's not just about barbecues and long weekends. → It's about remembering the brave souls who fought for our freedom. → It's about honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice. A few thoughts on how we can honor our heroes: → Take a moment to remember and honor the fallen soldiers. Their bravery and sacrifice have given us the freedom we enjoy today. → If you know a veteran or someone who has lost a loved one in service, share their stories. Keeping their memory alive is the least we can do. → Find ways to support veterans and their families. This could be through donations, volunteering, or simply lending a listening ear. Let’s not forget: → Freedom isn't free. It comes at a great cost. → Today is a day to remember those who paid that cost with their lives. → Let’s honor them by appreciating the freedoms we have and by striving to make this world a better place in their memory. It's #NationalDonutDay! What's your favorite kind of donut? Let us know in the comments. Every year on the first Friday of June, Americans celebrate National Donut Day to honor the Salvation Army Lassies, the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during the First World War to lift their spirits. This tradition began in Chicago in 1938. We "donut" know what we would do without all of our wonderful clients! #GJMAccounting #accountingandaccountants #smallbusiness

#JUNETEENTH "Freedom finally came on June 19, 1865, when some 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas. The army announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state, were free by executive decree. Today is the day we recognize and honor those veterans who have served our Country. But we must remember that although they have completed their duty and mission, there is another battle that many are still fighting. Mental health struggles are real for many of our veterans, preventing them from living full, flourishing lives and living out their purpose here on earth. And some are literally fighting for their lives. Every day, 22 veterans take their own lives. And veterans are 57% more likely to commit suicide compared to non-veterans. Enough is enough! We must equip them with the best possible weapons. This is where Warrior Spirit Therapies, a new local non-profit organization, comes in. Through wilderness therapy, Scripture, and the power of Jesus Christ, veterans in our area are equipped with the tools needed to fight this battle—including the internal spiritual battle many of them face. We’ve already helped dozens of veterans in our area and still have a long way to go. We’re looking for people to join our team as prayer warriors! And if led to do so, donate to the cause. All donations are tax-deductible. Whether you are a veteran in need of support, know of a veteran and would like us to reach out to them, or would like to donate, please visit www.warriorstherapies.org James 2:22: You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. #mentalhealth #Veterans #VeteransDay2023 #scriptures #america #unitedstates #army #navy #airforce #marines #coastguard #Jesus
