VERY exciting news indeed 🎉 The Better Business Network has added Nature to their Board, just like we did at Faith In Nature in 2022. If you’re a business considering adding Nature to your Board you can find out how to do it here: https://lnkd.in/eT_tZjKx #NatureOnTheBoard #businesswithpurpose #purposeledbusiness
Exciting news! 🥳 Following in the footsteps of Faith In Nature , the Better Business Network are proud to announce we have officially added Nature to our Board of Directors! ⚖️ The wonderful Graham Hansen, Director of Lawbox Design will be representing Nature on behalf of the Better Business Network and will be involved in all key strategic decisions that the business makes. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? 🌳 By Making nature a director of our company, we hope to make better informed decisions around topics that impact it. And let’s face it, everything does. That’s why this matters. 🌍 We're proud to share the dream where Nature’s rights are represented and respected, in every business. So we’re sharing our process in the hope that others will join us in doing the same. 🎬 Check out this video from Faith in Nature, the first company in the world, to add Nature to their board of directors. - We’re thrilled to now be doing the same and hope other businesses follow in these footsteps in due course! https://bit.ly/4aWO22S #Sustainability #GiveNatureAVoice #NatureBoardOfDirectors
We’re the world’s first company to put Nature on the board. Here’s why…

🌐 Today we’re celebrating World Braille Day. Every January 4th, we honor Louis Braille, the inventor of the tactile reading and writing system for people who are blind or low-vision. 🔹 But World Braille Day is also about awareness. Braille is pivotal for access to education and employment, among many other things. 🔹 The day encourages governments, institutions, and organizations to adopt and promote inclusive practices. 🔹 This includes making publications available in Braille, ensuring that physical and digital environments are accessible, and advocating for the rights of people who are blind and low-vision. As our world shifts more digitally, let's commit to making every digital platform accessible, ensuring everyone has equal access to information and opportunities: https://lnkd.in/eF5zkyCH #WorldBrailleDay #DigitalAccessibility

Champion of resilience / transforming challenges into triumphs / guiding the Emer;e Strong Society with the mantra 'Reflect, pause and Emer;e Strong...'
Part 1: The Semi-Colon in Emer;e Strong... The semi-colon in the Emer;e Strong Society logo symbolizes the pause we take in our journeys. Just like in writing, where a semi-colon connects closely related ideas, it represents the moments we reflect on our experiences and challenges. It’s a reminder that our story isn't over; it’s a brief pause to gather strength and continue our path with renewed purpose.

In January, I had the privilege of attending Chris Heivly's Idea to Launch Workshop at Assembly Norfolk. One invaluable lesson I learned was about the MVP (Minimal-Viable-Product) concept—a method to test the viability of a product before investing further resources. My main objective was to validate my solution to a prevalent problem. I recently launched my 'Sweet Nothings' greeting cards, applying the MVP concept, and the results were remarkable! See how it went below! 🔽 🤓 #IdeaToLaunch | #MVPConcept | #ProductValidation
'Sweet Nothings' are more than just loving and romantic words. These cards have the power to change your life! Featuring work from artist, CAY. This campaign was fun, fresh, super sweet, and you should definitely check it out. https://lnkd.in/ejyakFVP #valentinesday2024 | #marketingcampaign | #brandingconsultant

Representation matters… can’t recommend these talks enough
Next Wednesday 13th March, we'll be inviting James Childs to share his insights into the significance of representation and inclusivity in illustration, as well as the wider creative sectors, and what inspired him to launch his own agency: Bold Child. Led by our Board Member Montana Forbes, this session will provide practical insights from an agent’s perspective, on the relationship between illustrators, agencies, and commissioners, championing diversity and cultivating a more robust illustration community. There are still tickets if you wish to join us. All are welcome! 🎟️ https://lnkd.in/gcGMXmHY Illustrations by Adrián Arias Astorgano

We keep hearing the media world has changed, and it's up to content creators to change with it. Here's a good article in Realscreen about how Parks Channel and my co-founder Charles Poe are thinking about how to approach this challenge.
Sprouting in a crowded and chaotic forest is no simple task. Many thanks to Barry Walsh and Realscreen for helping us get the word out, and to my co-founder Chris Hoelzl for sharing the adventure! 😉 https://lnkd.in/e4he8dJw

Fat Daddy’s Rock & Roll Chronicles Vol. 15 The Loco-Motion It is often said in the profession of sales that “You are only as good as your last sale”. When you seriously think about, and evaluate, that statement you realize just how ludicrous that is. But, there are many sales organizations that base their sales personnel decisions on this very statement I have experienced first-hand sales organizations that discipline their Sales Professionals for one bad sales month, one bad sales quarter or one bad sales year despite the Sales Professional’s long-term history of year over year sales growth and success. I have experienced and seen sales management put their Sales Professionals on performance review programs because of this. I cannot stress enough; the mentality of “You are only as good as your last sale” is ludicrous and often cost sales organizations quality Sales Professionals. The good news for Sales Professionals is that the profession of sales always offers new life for a quality Sales Professional. The experience, skill, knowledge and work ethic that made you successful throughout your sales career – and in your last sales job – will always make you successful in your next sales job. In Rock & Roll this is proven when songs are commercially successful by different artist in different genres in different eras. The “Loco-Motion” is one of those songs. Co-written by Carole King - best known for her multiplatinum selling album “Tapestry” – and intended for Pop Queen Dee Dee Sharp to sing “The Loco-Motion” went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 not once, but twice. In 1962 Little Eva’s version peaked at #1 on the Hot 100. Little Eva was a Pop/R&B singer and her version captured the dance beats of the early 1960s. 12 years later this same song would again top the Hot 100 - this week in 1974 – by a hard driving rock band named Grand Funk Railroad. The record was produced by the legendary Todd Rundgren. Grand Funk’s version captured the heavy guitar driven sound of the 1970s. The two versions are completely different but equally successful proving a good song – like a good Sales Professional – will always flourish. Thank you for reading and if you enjoy my chronicles please hit the like button, or share with your friends and colleagues. I am also available for motivational speaking engagements. Please email me at rockinfatdaddy@gmail.com for more information. Remember, as a Sales Professional you are the GREAT AMERICAN THUNDER on which this nation ROLLS, because nothing happens until something is SOLD! So quit reading my chronicles and get out there and sell something! https://lnkd.in/ebGhx2b3
