Happy Memorial Day to you! I hope you are enjoying time with family and friends. I love the holidays as I reflect on my ability to connect with others and work on intergenerational relationships. I love holiday time because it allows me to learn and spend time with those more senior than me as well as those younger than me. Here are a few things to remember as we connect on this holiday. --- VALUE OF CONNECTION: When we seek the value in those who have come before us, we recognize that we all began from someone. --- VALUE OF NOSTALGIA: I get the best stories and insights as I witness those more senior reflecting on their lives. Thus, this prompts me to reflect on my own. --- VALUE THE NEWNESS: Each new generation brings new insight and learning. I love hearing the new generation's perspectives. It keeps me on my toes. Enjoy your holiday! #joyofinclusion #inclusionexpansion #MemorialDay #InclusionontheSlopes #PhaseOneStrengths #SWORDInclusionSystem

Had a fantastic time celebrating my 37th birthday over the weekend! 🎉 Reflecting on the journey, here are some key takeaways: 1. You can achieve anything you want if you are willing to make sacrifices, maintain a positive attitude every day, and remain disciplined. However, it's important to keep in mind that the path may not always be linear. 2. Mistakes will happen along the way, so make peace with the fact that it won’t ever be perfect. 3. Financial security is crucial, and we need to reach it as soon as possible. However, beyond a certain stage of financial security, we end up working to accumulate more luxury. So, just be mindful of when you cross that threshold. Then, you really need to evaluate if working tirelessly day and night for more luxury is worth missing out on time spent with loved ones and taking care of your mental and physical well-being. 4. No matter what you do, there will always be people who will criticize it for being too little, not good enough, or too much. While feedback can offer valuable insights, it's important not to let others' opinions define your worth or deter you from your path. Grateful for every twist and turn that brought me here. Wouldn't change a thing! #Reflections #BirthdayThoughts

As I celebrate my 24th birthday today, I want to share the 24 life lessons I have learned along the way: 1. Create your own meaning in life. 2. Respect the uniqueness of each individual’s experiences. 3. Don’t force relationships that aren’t right. 4. Don’t be rigid and seek multiple perspectives. 5. Remember that everyone is human, with their own joys and struggles. 6. Always help others to make a lasting impression. 7. Present yourself well, as opportunities can arise unexpectedly. 8. Set deadlines to achieve your goals. 9. Treat others how you want to be treated. 10. Define your own standards of beauty. 11. Accept and manage fear to move forward. 12. Sometimes, just “being” is enough. 13. Seek guidance from nature’s balance. 14. Easy jobs may lack fulfillment. 15. Use non-verbal cues to avoid collisions. 16. Take action to pursue your dreams. 17. Recognize that everyone has insecurities. 18. Understand that rudeness often stems from personal issues. 19. Material possessions are replaceable; don’t dwell on their loss. 20. Confidence is key to avoiding embarrassment. 21. Prioritize your time based on what truly matters. 22. Don’t let pride hinder resolution. 23. Express gratitude and appreciation frequently. 24. Acknowledge the reality of your experiences, regardless of perception. Which one was your favourite? Follow Vinti Agrawal 🟢 for more!

Head of Global Multi-Asset and Chief Investment Officer at T. Rowe Price | Author: “The Psychology of Leadership” (Harriman House)
Last Saturday, I had dinner with a few friends. My friend's father was there. He's about to turn 77 years old. Over steak and some California wine, I asked him: "Tomorrow, you'll celebrate your 77th birthday. What's the most important life lesson you've learned?" (I'm not good at small talk.) He took a long pause. Then, his answer surprised me. I was expecting something about the importance of relationships, resilience, or finding your passion. Here's what he said: "Know your priorities and act accordingly." Most of us live in the daily fog of short-term battles. We address our immediate to-do list, think about today and tomorrow, and focus on small wins and losses. Do you know your priorities? Do you act accordingly? #selfimprovement Photo from Unsplash

As I wait to hear back on whether I get to move on in the hiring process for #disney, I rewatched Soul and thought a lot about my Purpose. Like a lot of people, I got caught up in equating my job to my Purpose. I used to thing that it was my Purpose to be a good storyteller, to connect with people through my work and convey meaning, understanding, and emotion. When that work was gone, I felt like my Purpose went with it. Who was I, if I wasn't doing what I felt I was put here to do? It took a lot of time, and a lot of introspection, to come to understand that my Purpose was not what I did, but who I was as a person. I was not a Creative Producer. I was a person who found joy in connecting with people. I was a person who took pride in my ability to understand and convey understanding. I was a person who was passionate in everything I was interested in, a person whose love ran deep. I was not put on this earth to make ads or push KPIs or win awards. My Purpose was not a jacket that I put on whenever I showed up for work, and taken off as I left for home. My Purpose is with me at all times, fueling everything I did whether I got paid for it or not. I am here to be passionate about this world that we live in, and to share knowledge and joy with others. A job can't give that to me, and losing a job won't take that away. It is, instead, the Spark that makes me special. It is what I bring to the table, and I hope that it is what people will see when I sit down across from them. I know a lot of us here are looking for work, and the rejections feel like we don't have a Purpose anymore. Please believe me, it is still there. It never left... but it might not be what you think it is. Close your eyes and think about who you are when no one is looking, what you do that makes you happy, who you are when you are alone with yourself. That is your Spark. #disneylife #disneyjobs #disneymagic

I prefer to start my New Year's resolutions any day I like. Makes me feel a bit more boss. Will do it when I'm ready. Sometime in January or February will have a think about the year ahead. Love the idea that the resolutions are not based on depriving yourself of anything, but instead, what you would like more of. Even more than this I love the idea of scrapping resolutions altogether! Rather, just conscious ideas about how you want the year to pan out, and what you're going to do to make that happen. I heard about these four questions: What are you letting go of? What are you taking in? What are you currently doing that is working, and you’d like to cultivate more of? A year from now, what would you like to be celebrating? You might even let go of something that you enjoy, but it's not serving the greater idea of how you want the year to pan out. Do more of what you love and you've a greater chance of sticking with it. Follow the love. Happy new year friends and colleagues 🌈

Won’t you play a game with me? One question … WHERE HAVE I BEEN THE LAST 22-Months? Was I ... a - Abducted by Aliens b - Beach holiday in the Bermuda Triangle c - On a Top Secret Mission d - Recovering from Long Covid e - Learning new Things f - ****************** (Redacted) Yup, you guessed it, I didn’t win Lotto to pay for a Bermuda Triangle holiday experience. To be honest, my chances of winning the Lotto would greatly improve if I actually bought a ticket! And, although it felt at times that my body was invaded by aliens, I was not abducted by any. The unfortunate and unglamorous answer to my 22-month absence from social media is that I was recovering from Long Covid. Social gatherings was replaced by social anxiety (always fun!) An exciting outing for me was a trip from the bedroom to the kitchen for a handful of vitamins! Thrilling, I know. I won’t go into details in this post about the horrors of Long Covid (I might leave that as a Halloween post), but suffice to say, there were hard days, and then there were even harder days. But let’s not dwell. Instead I wanted to discuss what I have been up to more recently. I have been nurturing ideas that I’ve had for several years, I’ve learned new things, and I am excited about what’s coming next. So, here I am! I am back. I am healing. I am different. I am pivoting!
