DN Capital is proud to have supported the first ever 2hearts Angels Dinner!
2hearts is a business community for individuals working in tech with migrant or underrepresented backgrounds, co-founded by DN partner, Gülsah Wilke.
It’s on a mission to build the most diverse investment community in Europe, and as part of this recently held its first ever Angels Dinner in Berlin to bring together more than 20 angel investors, sharing experiences and perspectives on supporting diverse founders and investors.
Thank you to everyone who participated, we’re looking forward to the next iterations and to continue supporting the work of 2hearts!

Lucas Schaubel, Ragnar Jongen and Gülsah Wilke thank you for joining us and supporting the 2hearts Angels Collective on their mission to empower migrant founders. It is great to collaborate with like-minded leading investor brands like Dn Capital. ❤️❤️
If you are migrant founder who thinks who would benefit from a more diverse investor base (we have over 40 cultures represented in our angel community), please reach out to me or my co-leads Richy Ugwu and Tolgay Azman. 😊
As many of you know, I am deeply passionate about supporting all underrepresented groups. This commitment is a core reason behind the creation of #Climb24.
Today, I am excited to use LinkedIn to share a special opportunity, thanks to our partners at Leeds City Council:
We are offering 30 founders from #underrepresented groups a free ticket to ClimbUK.
These founders will also be invited to a pre-event #webinar and an exclusive #investor speed networking session hosted by Investor Ladder (30 companies meet 15 active investors) as part of the event on the 5th and 6th of May in #Leeds Dock.
To ensure clarity, here are the eligibility criteria:
Your business must be based in #Leeds.
Your business must be led by someone from an underrepresented group (#Gender, #Ethnicity, #Disability, #SexualOrientation, #SocioeconomicBackground).
This is the absolute final call for this offer, and only 30 places are available.

Don’t miss this chance to be part of an empowering and transformative event.
Applications close at the end of play today and successful applications will be informed tomorrow!!!
Please tag anyone who you feel would benefit from this exclusive offer.

In the fast-paced world of startups and venture capital, it's easy to get lost in numbers, projections, and pitches. But let's take a moment to appreciate something equally crucial – community support.
Supporting each other, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, isn't just about goodwill; it's about strengthening our entire ecosystem. It's about creating a more diverse, vibrant, and innovative space where everyone has a chance to thrive.
Whether it's through mentorship programs, networking events, or simply sharing knowledge and resources, every little effort counts. By lifting others as we climb, we can move the needle towards a more inclusive and equitable future for all founders.
Let’s commit to being champions for diversity and inclusion in our communities. After all, when one of us succeeds, it paves the way for more stories of success.

⁉ How can we accelerate change so we don’t have to wait 208 years?
As Melinda French Gates shares in the message below, the harsh truth is that women in the U.S. are still 208 years away from achieving equality despite being the highest-income nation in the world. She founded Pivotal Ventures to accelerate the change.
🤲 We are experiencing a transformative and complex period characterized by shifting power dynamics and increased recognition and urgency for gender equity while structures remain unsupportive. This evolution is similar to any transitional era where churning is intense just before butter is about to appear. Even though we may see things, people, and situations differently, we all are undeniably caught in a fierce churning phase.
💪 I am Brown. I am a Woman. I am an Immigrant. I am Strong. Bias is as real as the grit and resilience that fuel my journey. As a first-generation American woman with Punjabi roots, I've encountered biases at every turn—professionally and personally. Whether you're a high-profile politician like Kamala Harris, an executive, or a hardworking service worker, bias walks with you like a shadow. I stand as one among millions committed to dismantling these barriers and fueling collective energies toward a future that's not just tolerant but actively equitable.
🌐 In a World Increasingly Defined By Crises, We Need Women’s Leadership Like Never Before! Ms. Magazine.
https://lnkd.in/dDM2cH99
Women’s direction, vision, and voice must be included at all levels of leadership. This inclusion and gender-sensitive responses must go beyond tokenism to represent and include broad coalitions of women from various backgrounds and at all levels.
👊 We all have a role!
Yes, it is a challenge, but it is also an opportunity for all of us—women, people of color, philanthropists, elected leaders, and nonprofit champions—to come together. We have been hearing so much about women of color leaving or being pushed out of leadership roles. It is an opportunity to create more success stories and be part of that story. Our collective effort is crucial. Achieving equality is a marathon and a relay race, not a sprint, requiring resilience and perseverance.
Collaboration and consistent effort are essential in shortening the 208-year timeline for gender equity. Every small action counts. Each strategy, whether big or small, has the potential to shift power dynamics. Every dollar invested and every supportive action—whether as a family member, friend, colleague, or someone in a position of power—carries weight. 💡 Potential=Inspiration

For far too long, women and people of color in the United States have been forced to navigate systems that weren’t built with them in mind. This not only holds them back—it holds our entire country back from the progress we’re capable of.
I founded Pivotal Ventures in 2015 to get more power in the hands of more people, especially women, by removing the barriers that stand in their way. Ultimately, I want to see more women of all backgrounds in positions where they can make decisions, control resources, and shape policies and perspectives in every sector of society. They belong there, and we need them there.

HOMELESS.. AN OPPORTUNITY MISUNDERSTOOD.
The modern economic system is a market economy, which is a capitalist economy where people, not the government--NOT THE GOVERNMENT--own most businesses. In a capitalist economy, prices allocate capital and labor between competing uses, and capital assets like factories, mines, and railroads can be privately owned and controlled.

We reached 3.5 million people in January!
Yes! In the first month of the year, we had major success in reaching a big audience through Dutch National Television. What an incredible start to the year 😍🚀
Last year in 2023, we spoke with many friends and family if they understood the mission of Hable. Still many either did not completely understand what Hable was doing. What we hope for is that we can make many people aware about disability, accessibility and inclusion.
Our goal is clear : To reach 5 million people with visual impairment.
But it is often not easy for new start-ups to create awareness and reach millions. Like we don’t have budgets or years of experience.
But what we do have is really happy customers with a very big heart.
We will continue to solve problems for our customers!
Towards conscious start-up building!

Despite their growing influence in the U.S. economy, SomosVC's annual "State of Latino/a VCs" report finds the significant underrepresentation of Latino professionals in venture capital. With only 2% representation in firms with over $100 million in assets under management and a lack of diversity at the partner level, there is a pressing need for new approaches to promote more equitable representation.
Despite these challenges, Latino-led firms have committed to investing in diverse founders and have played a significant role in job creation. SomosVC, a nonprofit, aims to accelerate and elevate the presence of Latinos in VCs by empowering investors to be their authentic selves. Overall, there is immense potential for the Latino community to make a positive impact on the tech ecosystem and the economy as a whole. See below to read more.
