Mindset Liberator | Innovation Catalyst | Inquisitive Mind | Naval Officer | Thoughts my own ≠ DoD/Navy
Enable the Warfighter. Where operational context and information meet. That's where decisions and innovation should aim to land. As for the rest of us - Enhance and enrich the system of systems to elevate the Warfighter. Rid the policy and process of hubris and static nature and remove non-value added human interactions. Challenge accepted?

Anduril Industries is thrilled to announce Menace-X, an expeditionary command, control, communications, and computing (C4) vehicle-based system that extends strategic and operational-level capabilities to the tactical edge. Built to operate in denied, disrupted, intermittent, and limited (DDIL) communication environments, Menace-X enables resilient command and control of complex mission sets, such as deep sensing and coordination of maritime surface fires, in a highly-mobile form factor. Current C2 solutions require large logistical footprints, significant set-up time, and specialized training. With logistics and communications networks of forward-deployed and stand-in forces increasingly at risk of adversary targeting, warfighters need to quickly disperse, maneuver, and communicate across distributed forces to sustain operations at the edge while under multi-domain attack. This is where Menace-X comes into play. Menace-X is easily transported by MV-22, CH-53, MH-47, C-130 and almost any other air and naval platform to provide on-demand C2 anywhere on Earth. It is designed with warfighters in mind, featuring an intuitive and ergonomic interface activated at the flip of a switch, allowing operators to easily observe and control power, communications, and compute subsystems. Operators can use government-furnished software or Anduril’s Lattice C2 suite for tasking live assets and workflows to generate effects on the battlefield, or use built-in applications for battle space analytics, collaborative planning, automated threat detection, and high-value targeting. Menace-X expands the Menace family of expeditionary C4 solutions by delivering operational-level capabilities to the tactical edge, furthering the reach of the joint force inside contested areas. The system has been successfully demonstrated at several U.S. military exercises, including the Marine Corps’ Weapons & Tactics Instructor course and the U.S. Army’s Project Convergence Capstone event, and is deploying globally across 2024. #military #defense #defence #militaryleak https://lnkd.in/giYPuSfs

The abilities of our young generation to seize technological initiatives should not be seen as anything less than a massive military weapon. This Marine not only saved money, valuable time, and resources, but also demonstrated the adaptability and forward-thinking spirit of the Marine Corps. Sgt. Pugh's initiative is a prime example of how non-kinetic solutions can enhance our military's lethality. By applying this new technology, he has contributed to the essence of maneuver warfare – the ability to adapt, overcome, and outmaneuver challenges in dynamic environments. This accomplishment highlights the strategic deterrence capabilities of our Marine Corps. By enabling and integrating such innovative practices, we send a clear message about our readiness and capabilities to our adversaries. The Marine Corps investment toward educating the force, reinforces our position in global defense strategies. Congratulations Sergeant of Marines for setting a stellar example of innovation and dedication. I am certain that your story will inspire a wave of modernization initiatives that will continue to expand throughout the force. #Innovation #MilitaryExcellence #3DPrinting #MarineCorps #StrategicDeterrence #ManeuverWarfare #a2d

Project Overmatch is a key initiative for Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Lisa Franchetti, who sees it as an opportunity to gain advantages and think differently about how to integrate disruptive and emerging technologies to adapt to changes in warfare. “Through Project Overmatch, we’re building a software-defined network solution and modern software pipelines to provide as many pathways as is possible to connect and share information. This initiative is an effort to transmit any data over any network and is the connective tissue between today’s fleet and tomorrow’s emerging hybrid fleet,” she said Tuesday at the conference. “In using that connectivity, we’re working to evolve Aegis and the ship self-defense system into a single, hardware-agnostic software suite, like the integrated combat system, that all ships can pull from to conduct missions alone or in a group. This system will enable a surface action group, a strike group and a fleet, or any combination of integrated combat system-equipped ships to operate as a single, seamless system and become a true system of systems.”
