The EU AI Act has officially come into force. With AI technology being borderless this will have a global impact. It will regulate AI applications based on their risk to society: - Minimal - Limited - High - Unacceptable It is important for businesses to understand what implications this EU regulation will have on them and the impact their AI technology has on society.

As of 1 August 2024, the European Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act) is officially in force. With an aim of fostering responsible #ArtificialIntelligence development and deployment in the EU. Addressing potential risks to citizens’ health, safety, and fundamental rights, the act provides developers and deployers with clear requirements regarding specific uses of AI while reducing administrative and financial burdens for businesses. In preparation of this vital step, DNV has created a resource hub of insights, advice, and Recommended Practices (RP) to be used at your disposal. This includes our RP on AI-enabled Systems, addressing quality assurance of AI-enabled systems and compliance with the upcoming Act. In addition, we cover the building blocks of #AI systems – from data quality, sensors, algorithms, simulation models, and digital twins.
