Since 2016 the criminal BURECRACY & politicians has stopped any approval of cheap ($¢ 4.5/kWh) & fuel-free (no import of LNG required) wind & solar electricity projects. Forcing people of Pakistan to buy expensive $¢10-12/kWh; LNG, imported coal & FO based electricity as they get kickbacks of billions of rupees. SIFC has taken a good step.

As Anna Collyer, Chair of the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) said on Monday, distributed energy resources #DER 'will be at least 20% of our energy solution, but it is [they are] not getting 20% of our attention'. Energy Ministers are meeting on 24 November with #DER on the agenda. My new report for IEEFA Asia Pacific sets out how we can unlock #fasterdecarbonisation and #lowerenergy bills by leveraging household and business investment in DER, increasing the chances of Australia reaching 82% #renewables by 2030. The report describes a package of measures with detailed recommendations on how to meet six objectives: 1. Ensure appropriate technical standards are in place 2. Remove static constraints on existing solar 3. Unlock flexible demand 4. Fast-track distributed storage 5. Create a level-playing field in network services 6. Ensure fit-for-purpose governance.
